Connor was sitting in his incredibly small apartment. The lights were off, empty cans littered the floor. He was hunched over his laptop and in the dim light, his claw-like fingers were smashing the keys over and over. "Red.....velvet" he rasped, sounding monstrous in the dim, dank, freezing apartment. His breath came out in clouds. The room was so cold it was visible, palpable in the blue light. His family never heard from him again after that day.
