DNTM's S2 Photoshoot 8: My Rankings - My Truth - My Opinion

i used to always do this in season 1, but never got to do this in season 2 because i didn't want to interfere...? but honestly it's whateva 1. KaliMinaj the way you chomped and ate this shit is... insane... your body looks ABSURD. the legs being so long make me drool... i just wish you weren't as camuflated as you are, but i do get that that was the entire point... however dimitra's always asking for us to STAND OUT and i believe this specific prompt asked for it too. that's the only thing you went missing 2. Maris i adore this picture... the legs, the ballerina pose, the broken doll-ish, the creepy background. everything works here. i wish it had a wider background, but i'm a sucker for images with big backgrounds and scenarios because it tells a story that our bodies sometimes can't. i'm actually surprised you can deliver such a consistent photo (a bit shady yeah) 3. BRAT this is the first time i'm ranking myself this low. i actually ranked every single photoshoot in private to Maris and i have the receipts but this is the only time i'm aware i'm not that girl. at first i was making a black barbie doll surrounded by blonde barbie dolls, being chosen by a black little girl outside the box. but posing in pink/barbie makes me uncomfortable and i dont like it. i went pink but weird-ish with harajuku vibes. i love how my body is portrayed and i think my face is strong too. my only issue here is that there's no buttons to play and catch the doll. however, it's tokyo! QR codes on the side, bitch. also i feel like my pictures are always very WIDE. i like telling a story with all elements and that's why i play with those outside things too. but you gotta see the full HQ picture to understand it and see the details. fashion is not fast honey, fashion is in the details. sit your ass and appreciate the picture's details zoomed in. 4. manyomash (it could be from 4-6 i kept changing while critiquing) i'm not exactly buying the renaissance doll machine... because i had that idea first and honestly? i scrapped it because it seemed ridiculous to me. the whole point of mixing renaissance aesthetic + technology just doesn't sit okay with me unless you were going for steampunk. i think sometimes doing the most obvious thing (thats why i did harajuku) can be a good thing. i think the pose is ok. the face is ok. like its not giving me much of any... this feels safe. also she's not in heels and/or boots/ballerina shoes? like why. what happened 5. Medusaluh (it could be from 4-6 i kept changing while critiquing) i'm usually a fan of what you bring but this doesn't feel good to me. i think it's a similar concept to Maris and i believe she's done it better. your pose is goorrrgg but i think the styling doesnt make you stand out. your body is insanely gorgeous, i looove the collarbones showing honey that is fashionnnn. however i feel like the image is a bit bland? like it doesnt stand out for some reason. it's not even a you thing it's just... bright sun + pastel colors + too cute of a dress for a "deadly" concept? like it doesn't mash in that sense. had you had a more raggeddy doll look then i think it would work out like you intended? it didnteven had to be at night, or change the outfit at all, all you had to do was cover it in mud like you had dragged yourself from the pits of hell or something.. idk its too pretty for a diabolical concept 6. akaliuchis (it could be from 4-6 i kept changing while critiquing) i adore the futuristic vibes to this... i do feel like that this theme is a bit over at this point, but i adore this pose, your face, the "costume"... the styling, everything is amazing. your body is posing like a real model and sometimes i want to forget the logic and just stick to fashion. when i open a magazine i dont wanna think why this model is floating - i just want to see beautiful pictures. you achieved that. 7. Sprite i'm conflicted by this... i actually really like, actually LOVE the upper part. but half of your body is literally missing... the entire point of modeling is showing art through your body and face. i dont think you needed a crazy pose with your legs with this amazing shot but you also needed for them to show...? anyways love the concept and the picture i just feel like it could be better executed? 8. MissKant i think this looks amateurish :/ it's like when those photobooths at the mall. i hate hate HAAAATE (nicki minaj's voice) the styling. that strap on your legs makes you look like a hoe. the legs in the air contribute to it. i love how long your legs are tho. dont like the hair. the setting. your face looks oblivious as hell like you were surprised at the camera flash even. your body's proportions are not it - you look small even with those great legs. the other leg is just hanging there... you're one of my favorites in the competition though - if not my favorite at all... so i hope you get on your good feet dolly 9. Jane i heavily dislike this... what even is the concept? is she a strawberry? the colors are cheesy... the neon lights are ugly. your face? gorgeous. your pose? personally i dont like it - such as miss kant it makes your body look tinier. this specific pose looks like she is about to give birth at any minute....? the styling is also a bit off - i personally dont like or feel like its very high fashion when theres legs open wide and such short shorts cause it gives hooch kinda. i dont understand the concept tho, like why is her hand on the glass, is she a naughty strawberry that wants out? help.
