Fragile masculinity is a concept used in social psychology and cultural discussions to describe when some men feel that their masculinity is weak or easily threatened, and therefore react strongly when they think it is being questioned.
It doesn’t mean masculinity is actually fragile, but rather that some people have insecurities about how their “manhood” is perceived.

how can you argue that arguing about football is related to fragile masculinity when women + anyone of any gender can engage in a typical discussion? you exclude women from the discussion and turn football into something exclusively for heterosexual men, something that is debated today and a stigma that football organizations themselves are trying to end.
