I don’t get it

As a professor, I give students 3 days after grades are posted to let me know a grading issue. Student expressed disappointment because their peers graded unfairly after the 3 day period. I told them that grades are final and they are responsible for checking announcements on a daily basis. I feel bad but 80% of student don’t check the fucking announcements and complain they don’t follow my recommendations and policies. I might quit online teaching soon.

DrNicoleMartin I finished grades on Sunday and gave them Monday to Wednesday. It’s a global university, most of my students are from Europe or the Middle East so thanksgiving is not even observed. Terms are back to back so students are aware they need to study on any national holiday they might observe. Thanks for assuming I’m an asshole professor.
