If you were given something to sign at work
from a staff member and they told you that this document was from HR and they said you should sign it, would you just take their word for it?

Not a chance
I would say thank you and that I would keep it for now so I can talk to HR about it. Staff member is a C in this convo where you and HR are A and B - my relationship with HR is my own. Would make sure to say to HR that staff member gave it to me.
I’d read that document
def read it first and if it’s too long i drop it into ChatGPT ask for a summary and more importantly ask is this safe to sign. it’s pretty good for that

koolness234 and if you read the document and it looked like what they said it was would you proceed to signing it or would you follow up with HR first to confirm?
Britt I would too, HR should be asking me to sign it. I would ask why is HR, not doing their job?
koolness234 that's what I was thinking/wondering - shouldn't HR be sending out directives?
