i think the people who are firmly in the “it should be 18+” camp believe that it’s to protect the under 18 users. i think their intentions are good and im not disagreeing with them i just think restricting the site from the age group that isnt actually causing the problem is counterproductive. there is shit just as bad on every single social media platform and those aren’t age restricted. i’d rather us just protect the people under 18 by banning the people who create a need for us to protect the people under 18 i’m on yap mode today sorry

I mean the existing 16-18 year olds can stay as long as they agree to something that says they'll use the site with parental guidance. I'm not going to rip away all of the progress that users made I don't think that's fair, and since there are only a few of you there's not much of a safety concern. Wanting to make the site 18+ is moreso for when the site scales and we have too many users to keep track of what's happening behind closed doors if that makes sense.

this is a website for games. anyone who wants it to be +18 is either a lunatic or horny as fuck, and in case of ladder, i strongly suggest grindr/tinder/chatroulette or whatever else
