The owner is clearly trying. The site is moving forward and honestly it is doing pretty well. Updates, fixes, new stuff, all of that takes time and effort and I get that. This is not me saying the owner is lazy or the site is trash. My issue is the culture around it, especially some of the owner’s followers. Every time someone criticizes an update, even if they are complaining in an annoying way, the same thing happens. People jump in to shut it down. They call it whining. They act like you are disrespecting the owner just because you do not like a change. And the worst line is always “just leave if you do not like it.” That is a problem. Because telling people to leave over criticism is not protecting the community. It is pushing people out. It teaches everyone watching that the only safe opinion is a positive one. If you are frustrated, you better stay quiet or get attacked. That does not build a bigger player base. It does the opposite. Most people are not going to argue with a loud group of defenders. They just stop talking. Then they stop playing. And new players who see that vibe will not stick around either. You can support the owner and still allow criticism. You can appreciate the work and still say an update feels bad. Both can be true. A healthy community can handle complaints without turning it into “you are either loyal or you are gone.” If the goal is growth, shutting down every negative opinion is one of the fastest ways to make sure the player base never gets bigger.
