I stand up
For what I believe is right no matter what the price.
Maybe I didn't know these users well enough to speak on their behalf, but mental illness is a very real thing and I don't think the people suffering from the mental illness should be the only ones punished.
I think the people that go out of their way to try and intentionally trigger someone with a mental illness to the point of no return should face a punishment too!

No offense but that's the same thing husbands tell to the judge when they are asked why they were abusive to their wives... "she triggered me" "She had it coming" "she was asking for it". NO. It doesn't matter who triggers you, it doesn't matter if someone says somehting you don't like, if you are not mature enough to hold yourself back from making a disgusting comment or attack someone's personality, knowing they could just as easily be on the verge of a breakdown like anybody else, then you don't deserve to be pardoned. There are rules, follow the rules or don't be here.
daze I appreciate the comparison, and it's valid if the harassments only from one person, but I think the better comparison is being harassed by 50-100 complete and total strangers who want to make you miserable and ruin your life.
FlopCiTy then if someone gets to 0 points, they should be stripped of their blogs/comments rights. No access to the blogs page, no access to sending/receiving messages in games, just purely playing the game with no communication, no harm to anyone.
daze agreed 10000000%
daze That's just not realistic, they will just add their cast's discords and communicate through there. Most of our games are also social, so it wouldn't be fun for the cast to not be able to communicate with someone in their game. At the end of the day, burning through 25 honour points is not an easy job. If someone wants to continue enjoying the website, all we ask is you behave with common decency. No bullying, no death threats, no posting people's pictures etc. We're not asking everyone to donate to charity and live a life of no sin.
And I hope they find a great therapist but my job is to protect this community, and someone's mental health isn't a reason for them not to stay banned after bullying the people that I've sworn to protect.
Sin I don't disagree, and I appreciate you protecting us but I am speaking as someone who knows what it feels like to be mass negged and attacked on every single blog you make. It can push you to the point of an extremely toxic crash out and I don't think they should be punished further for having a poor reaction to the ban. Once your decision has been made, they should be cut off from the ability of communicating further and give them the length of their ban to calm down before continuing the conversation. KittyCupcake was making cryptic blogs about killing themselves yesterday and Im actually worriedthis is going to push them further. I know you can't just let everyone stay because they threaten suicide, I just hope if something else similar happens in the future and things seem to be inevitably heading in that direction that you can take some precautions before it reaches a boiling point.
FlopCiTy If I know that someone is prone to crashing out over an online site, why would I bring them back into a triggering environment? You said it yourself, these users had very negative reactions to things that had happened on this site, I'm not sure why you think bringing them back is a good idea.
Sin because I was also proned to having a crash out or 2 on tengaged. I know it's a completely different beast and most of the time wasn't moderated. I think they should be given another chance because you have the power to determine how short of a leash they have.
That's like saying an alcoholic who is drunk driving is not risking safety of anyone in their path
Luna not really, it's saying arrest the idiot drunk driver, and also arrest the negligent bartender that kept feeding them drinks all night and didn't make any effort to stop them from driving home.
FlopCiTy arrest everyone but the drunk driver... smh
Arrest manufacturers of alcohol too ?
Luna yeah, why not? Cigarettes too, Fuck the demons that benefit from poisoning us.
Luna I just said arrest the drunk driver too
FlopCiTy if someone leaves the bar after drinking the bartender cant know they are going to get in a car lol
DakotaMagic period.
babe we all have mental illness that's why we are on this site
