Homelander isn't a villain. He was tortured by scientists who wanted to control him to dominate the world. He's a victim, only he got out of control and now he wants to be loved, the love he was denied, a warm hug from a mother or father. They denied him everything: torture and everything. Now he has to bear his traumas. God bless America. He's a broken man.
