The Real Issue [TW: Serious Content Not Part of The Crow Brand]

Prefacing this blog with the fact that this is not a hate blog and I appreciate what Sin has been able to create with the site, just simply sharing my thoughts & observations after ~200 games on why I feel myself & others are slowly getting bored or burnt out with the site. Ultimately, the site is not new-user friendly in any way. New users without any preexisting connections have minimal chances of winning any of the social games (Frenzy / Hysteria / Outcasted) vs any of the more socially connected users. These players also have no incentive to play Arena or Race because they are going out for 11th-9th 99% of the time for their first 50-100 games as they try to learn the comps, which realistically, most new users aren't going to do. Constantly feeling like you have no chance to win or do well in a game also feels awful to play and causes people to not want to enroll into new games. I also want to note that it is extremely discouraging to queue up for a game and play these mini games for the first time and see someone like daze get 20k in Chain Pop or CarltonRS get 6k in Stacker. Most people see these scores and are not going to think to themselves "Oh wow let me just train my hardest at these online mini games so I can beat these people one day!" they are simply just going to quit the site bc they think they have no chance to win and are not having fun. The small user base is definitely a contributing factor, as it's a lot more difficult to avoid joining what I would deem an almost "unwinnable" game, and you wouldn't be playing like seven games a day with someone like Cowgirl for example if we had 10k users compared to 100. I think some good changes would be the following: 1) More diverse minigames - We are desperately in need of some new comps. I also think a rotating/seasonal list of comps active in Arena/Race would also help to keep things fresh. Another idea is to have Arena / Race / Royale specific comps so that one player being good in Arena will not automatically translate to also dominating in Race. 2) Ranked Arena / Race - This one is more contingent on a larger player base, but I think the goal should be an elo system for Arena / Race to be implemented at some point. As previously stated, please tell me why NewUser002 who is scoring 1000 in guitar is playing their first Arena game vs Dino. I think an incentive for having higher elo could also directly translate to higher Points/Koinz rewards as well. 3) Royale - People are going to start to get burnt out on this game and just stop joining it entirely. I think it's asking a lot of people to essentially no life the game for 48 hours to have a chance of doing well. I'm curious to see how transitioning this mode to a semi-fast game (maybe lasting 1-3 hrs?) with 24 players would work. 4) Frenzy / Hysteria - Get rid of one. The game modes are very similar and have the same Big Brother vibe, and players who are inclined to play one will likely still want to play the other, so we are just making it more difficult for games to fill by giving people the option to choose one or the other. 5) Team Format - I think something like the Traitors could cut-down on the premade issue and force people to play more independently. We are also severely lacking a team social-type game on the site. 6) Celebrities - I know Sin's intention was for this to not be a regularly scheduled game but the engagement on the site was noticeably a lot more active while the last game was airing. I don't think the game needs to happen weekly or even biweekly... but every 2 months seems a bit infrequent for a game that generates a lot of positive user engagement for the site. 7) FIX LUCKY DROP!!!!!
