DNTM4 Photoshoot 3 Review

Goomybear      ❤ 59    ▲16

#DNTM4 Overall this week there were some hits and some misses. The theme was a bit stale, so I was really looking for people to take it and elevate it to something exciting and a few got the memo. Keep in mind my scores will likely be lower than the real judges. My system is based on the 4 categories as well as my numbers follow this: 9-10 are reserved for OUTSTANDING things that are top tier, 7-8 are really good, 6 is good but missing something extra, 5 is weak but could have still been OK with small tweaks, 4 is a major miss, 3 or below I think is reserved for true WTF moments. MissMiranda Pose: 5 Face: 8 Styling: 6 Composition: 6 You are serving face that’s for sure, even with the dripping makeup. I just think the pose was a bit lack luster. I understand what you were going for with the background but I don’t know if it really makes sense for this photo. Instead of giving a penalty for brief I just lowered the composition score because I think the background just takes away from the photo a bit. Total: 6.25 Tjamal9106 Pose: 7 Face: 8 Styling: 7 Composition: 6 This is another improvement for you. Week to week you have gotten better and you are one of the people I want to see each week. Although the pose is simple, it works. Men’s poses in real fashion ads are usually fairly simple, and in this competition when you deliver a simple pose you can sometimes get punished for it, but when you do simple pose you have to deliver in face and styling, and I think you did that. The eye contact with the viewer while touching the tiger enhances the story. I want to know what you are thinking. I lowered the composition score because the tiger couldn’t fit on the edge of that couch, but otherwise it’s a strong photo. Total: 7 Manon Pose: 6 Face: 8 Styling: 7 Composition: 5 I think the pose is a bit safe, but I do like the interaction with the Tiger and it at least creates some visually appealing angles, but it could have been pushed a bit further. The mug is great, the little inhale you are doing works well. I think the dress choice works, but I would have liked to see maybe your hair slicked back with this look. You are giving us a fabulous canvas for a beautiful necklace but didn’t give us a necklace. I’m not sure if I love that or hate it, but I guess that makes for a good photo because I am thinking about it. I get what you were going for with the background, but there are a few things that just contradict themselves so I lowered the score. The inside foliage works, but when combined with the fallen columns and mirror/bookshelves it overwhelms the image a bit. Total: 6.5 Vanili Pose: 6 Face: 8 Styling: 8 Composition: 4 I think this pose could have been pushed a bit further. The neck needed to be extended a bit and the back leg not hidden in the fabric. If that back leg was maybe straightened out going off the bottom right side of the image that could have been a stronger pose. The face is amazing and pulls the focus for sure which is great. I love the print and the red nails. Maybe some jewelry like an arm band or bangles to finish the look but otherwise great. The composition though…… The tiger goes both directions, The background is too dark, and therefore the story isn’t that strong. If you had fixed the tiger AI flaw, and just lightened the background a bit this had so much potential. Total: 6.5 Zee_ Pose: 7 Face: 6 Styling: 8 Composition: 6 I like the pose, but wish you hadn’t cut off your legs in the crop. It impacts the pose score and the composition score a bit. But the use of the angle and the tiger above you is smart and makes your photo stand out. If your eyes were open more so we could see you making eye contact with the tiger that would have elevated the face and the overall story of the photo. The rest of the mug is mugging! A brighter background as well may have helped too. Total: 6.75 Amandasings04 Pose: 6 Face: 6 Styling: 8 Composition: 7 The pose could have been giving more high fashion model here. The face is always so hard for me to judge when you choose to do indoor sunglasses. Like I understand the vibe you were going for which is why the styling score is good, but I just don’t think it works when you are modeling and want to be recognized. The cheekbones and jawline are strong in your profile though. The composition of the photo is good with great balance with where everything is placed. I just wish the lighting enhanced the photo better. You find the light great, but it glosses over things in the image. This may be an upload issue because last week I didn’t like Guilty’s photo when I saw it on the website, but when I saw the real version it was much clearer so not sure if that is the same here. Total: 6.75 Marilise Pose: 4 Face: 8 Styling: 8 Composition: 6 This is your first miss for me. My eye is completely drawn to the awkward legs and not in the good way. There is the intentional model awkward that I am a huge fan of because it gives high fashion editorial, but this looks stiff and draws attention to the crotch area where the dress is falling strangely. The face is strong and kind of giving Zendaya vibes. The styling is great overall because you actually matched your make up and hair style to the look and the vibe, and I have been waiting for a model to slick back their hair because it elevates the high fashion editorial look a lot. The composition score is lower because the tiger is too long, and the story isn’t all that clear to me. Total: 6.5 Marquis Pose: 6 Face: 9 Styling: 8 Composition: 8 I was hoping folks would take the white tiger approach and make it work. I ranked the pose a 6 only because you cut both the feet off but otherwise it is really strong. AI loves to cut the feet out of photos because it hates doing them. Sometimes it works for the photo but here I would have loved to see your full length. The face is the best all season I think. THANK you for using the blue you did for the couch paired with the white/silver it elevates the photo a lot, and making the tiger actually fierce I’m surprised no one else did that yet (some others did after reviewing all the photos, but not many). Total: 7.75 LeQuishaQ Pose: 6 Face: 7 Styling: 7 Composition: 6 I think me critiquing this photo directly after Marquis is not going to do you a favor here because he had the same concept but executed it the right way. I still like this photo, but the pose is not appealing because I think the knee is too high. Without being able to see your legs it is unclear why the knee is that high and for me my eye goes right to that in the photo. Face and styling were both decent overall, but both have elements that could score 9 but then some elements that just take things away from the strength of the photo ( example: mixing fabrics with the dress plus the fur , the dress having AI bulbs to make the snow flakes is a bit tacky ☹) The fog you are blowing out I think could have worked if executed better. I think it’s one of those things that can be really hard with AI, and I’m sure you spent a lot of time trying to get it right, but it might have been better to scrap the idea even though I bet you really wanted that to be the selling point of the image. It just missed the mark for me. I also wish the background was more like Marquis to give a bit more elegance. Total: 6.5 GuiltyAsSin Pose: 7 Face: 8 Styling: 8 Composition: 8 Ok this is a striking photo for sure. The pose is the most interesting of the group and I was hoping someone would take it here, BUT I do think it crossed a bit too far into hooch territory. Like Tyra always said “hoe, but make it fashion.” I think this is right on the edge of being a bit too pin up for me. I think it is because the dress falls in a way I can see your hip crease, and it makes your booty seem a bit larger than it should be for your body (I would never shame a big booty, but for this particular look it just looks bigger than it should). With all of that said this is still a top tier image. The face is good, styling fits both the brief and the culture well, and the brightness and setting of the photo stand out among the pack in a good way! Total: 7.75 Melanie Pose: 6 Face: 6 Styling: 6 Composition: 5 The pose is fine, but the legs sit a bit strangely for me. The face in this image makes you look a lot older for some reason, and you look slightly bored. I think you try for pretty but forget to model with the face. I like the dress but some of the details are hard to see due to the lighting. I would score the styling higher if I could see it better without zooming really far in. The lighting, the tiger size, and lack of paws takes the composition score down, but mainly the lighting for me. Your photo going directly after Guilty’s makes it hard for me to not score this composition low because the lighting is so dramatically different. I do like the inclusion of the tail of the tiger I don’t think anyone else did that the same way, but it got so dark in that corner I almost missed that. I got to see your film and you had so many better options to pick from that could have put you near the top of my rankings, but this particular photo choice confused me because if this is what you thought was your best, I wonder if you have what it takes to make a deep run this season. The potential is there because you had great film, but I think you need to step out of your comfort zone and deliver photos that stand out and go beyond trying to just look pretty and instead start to model! Total: 5.75 SpaceLab Pose: 7 Face: 9 Styling: 7 Composition: 5 Ok this pose is simple but again for men this works well. It gives a powerful impression and takes charge of the photo. The face is striking and strong and works very well for you! One of the best all season. I like the chain, but some of the detailing on your outfit wasn’t executed that well. The overall composition was hurt a lot by the tiger getting half cut off, and the money on the floor doesn’t do it for me. I get the vibe you were going for, but I actually think the look you are giving and the outfit would have told the story better without the prop. Total: 7 CupidStunt Pose: 6 Face: 7 Styling: 6 Composition: 6 Ok hear me out, the pose is VERY high fashion, BUT being on the tiger makes the execution of the pose not work for me. If you had been on the couch with that pose, and the tiger be laying on the ground in front of you I think that would have been much better. The face is good, but I wish I got more neck from the pose it would have helped the face. Styling and composition were very average but nothing bad about them besides maybe the tiger looking a bit wonky beneath the dress. Total: 6.25 Antog Pose: 8 Face: 8 Styling: 7 Composition: 6 When I isolate the elements of the photo you stand out in the face, the pose, and overall styling, but for some reason the combination of everything just didn’t land completely for me so the composition score was lowered. I think the frame of the couch being the same molding as the wall, and the same white in your hair as the sheet below you didn’t quite add up for me. The photo is still very good but I think a few small tweaks that would help the balance of the phot may have made it top photo for me. The tiger giving more fierceness could have helped too. Total: 7.25 Fancy Pose: 7 Face: 7 Styling: 7 Composition: 6 I think this is a good photo. I wish the pose had a bit less symmetry to it to make it more high fashion, but it is good. I'm not sure if you will get docked by the judges for not being on the couch? IDK. The face is great and giving a high fashion model energy. I think the styling was good and creative but could have been pushed just a bit further to be even more effective. I do like the bowl of milk it’s a cute detail. The chain connecting you to the tiger should have been longer and the tiger kind of loses it’s size near its backside so that lowered the composition score. Otherwise great job! Total: 6.75 Guilty: 7.75 Marguis: 7.75 Antog: 7.25 TJ: 7 Space: 7 Zee: 6.75 Amanda: 6.75 Fancy: 6.75 Quisha: 6.5 Vanili: 6.5 Manon: 6.5 Marilise: 6.5 Cupid: 6.25 Miranda: 6.25 Melanie: 5.75

Hiiiiiiii and welcome to another episode of Fashion . . . . . Photo . . . . . REVIEEEEEEW I’m giving my personal opinions and my rankings and I’m tooting and booting each photos for this challenge and how well the people do. #dntm4 Theme for the week: 🐅 Wild Elegance 🐅 For this photoshoot the models have to pose on a luxurious sofa alongside a majestic tiger.......LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!! Week 3 I cannot wait to see REMINDER: these are my opinions! I respect everyone in the game. I know this shit is not easy as well. I was a contestant too. So please do not take my opinions that seriously! Reminder! I am tooting and booting in real time. As I do the photo one by one. I going by it once! Making first opnions! When I do my rankings that's when I look everything back! First up: MissMiranda ooooo, so far off to a good start! this is very simple, but elegant, but also some hidden fierceness. I will say I kinda wanna see a bit more interaction with the tiger. In the challenge like these yes the items/props can be important, but the way you handle/interact with them set's everything. So this I feel like it's a little safe. Anyone can just sit next to a tiger. This needs to go further. toot or boot: soft toot next: tjamal9106 This is what I'm talking about from missmiranda photo. Interaction! This is simple, this is clean, I like how the tiger is interacting with you......but I want you trying to focus less on the camera. I said this on the last shoot to the others. You don't need to focus on the camera 100% of the time. Live in the moment of the photo. prime example week 3 of my season, the way that seong interact with the dogs on the wild instinct challenge really set the bar. So to me your photo is there, but needs that natural interaction. that goes forward to future challenges with stuff like that. toot or boot: Toot next: Manon okay......again I would love to see more interaction with the tiger. I will give props. This is mouch lighter from the first two. glamour, you got it. the dress is beautiful. I feel like we're missing some ingredients. I would say go further. Even the softer things can fell powerful. I feel like the two photos I have seen so far versus this....this feel a little bit forgettable in the batch. I think what could've made this a bit more out there. I would've done a dramatic camera angle, maybe some wind for the hair to elevate it, more interaction with the tiger....because so far once again it's another photo petting a tiger. overall I feel like this photo does not stand out. It's nice...but not strong. toot or boot: soft toot next: Vanili oooo I like this. Red hair bold make up a wild dress the zoomed in camera. Very strong! The tiger however....... I like the way you are leaning on the tiger. the front of the tiger is beautifu......then then the back.......is a little messy. I know what you were doing. Just make sure you double check on the details because I am confused where the tiger backside is. I can see this on a cover of a magazine...as long as the details are clean and double checked. toot or boot: soft toot. next: Zee_ This is beautiful! this is what I'm talking about with interaction with the tiger. but thing i'm nitpicking about is the tiger! the tiger legs.....highly to short and a bit off putting. I would make sure the tiger itself is more realistically correct. beacuase this why double checking is a must! also The tiger is looking up with it's eye, not fully on you. that's also a worry. you should have that tiger looking at ya face to face. eye to eye. because when you have a pose like that with eye connection. It would've sold! it's beautiful, but it needs double checking. toot or boot: A very thin line toot up next: Amandasings04 OOoooo. your photos are getting better and better. This is class, this elegant. You're looking and interacting with the tiger. The tiger is looking at you. The ting that I'm nitpicking is that I want your tiger to fully interact with you. Like the tiger is leaning in closer to you as you pet it. just to show their's a connection between the two of you. just be aware for things like that in future challenges. toot or Boot: Toot! up next: Marilise Beautiful picture. I gotta nitpick hard (mostly because you're very strong and I wanna see a challenge now) the tiger. The tiger iself.....kinda looks like a stuff life size animal. I mostly think because of how the tiger looks and the texture. I know we're going realistic.....this might've gotten to a point where the tiger is looking less real in my opinion. I kinda wanna see a bit more of a different interaction because it does look like...okay you're just taking a photo with the tiger and that's it. the pose is a bit weird.....I like the top part, the bottom......maybe something else. because mostly it's looking like you're holding on to the tiger and trying not to slip off the sofa. So I would be aware of the detials. Is it beautiful. Yes. Am I getting the story....It's somewhat there it's just because of the small details. toot or boot: A very soft toot. up next: Marquis Okay let's start off with the positive. I like you went with a white tiger! I like you chose an enviornemt that's different from the others, that's very bold! my critique: I wish their was more human interaction and a story. because once again (not just you!) we're getting into that field where we are just focusing on the camera instead of being in the moment. This photo is clean, I like their's more difference and going with a risk. But I would've done something differently with the pose with the tiger because this is another photo where someone has their hand on a tiger and is looking at the camera. I like how the tiger is growling at the camera......showing the tiger fierceness.....but it's not making the photo elevated as much. and I would actually make sure everything is blended alltogether because some parts feel like photoshop aka the tiger as example. it feels like the tiger just got cropped it. So I would advise to make sure the picture is put together and blended to the point (texture, shadows, ect) where it all feels like one piece. toot or boot: soft toot up next: LeQuishaQ Another white tiger! Love! I have to give the tought love. Everything fit.....but the tiger itself. We're opn another case of the tiger looking like a life size stuff animal for some reason. Now I do like the tiger has it's tounge licking it's nose, very cute. I would've had the tiger interact with you more or in a differnet position where it elevates even further. because so far their's allot of photo's with the same position with the tiger. So I would say for futute challenges. Think outside the box and go further because stuff like this can jus make people like me go "oh another photo with the person kinda doing the same thing." toot or boot: toot up next: GuiltyAsSin I got no notes bitch you ate. 👏 That's 👏 What 👏I wanna 👏 fucking 👏 see 👏 yes another white tiger, but more realistically. I love you chose a pose that's not just sitting. this is risk taking and I love it it! okay I gott be picky......and this is very hard....because I am loving this photo. I think this might be my favorite one out of this week. the story is there. everything is fit together. you know what toot or boot: Take my fucking shoot! UP NEXT: melanie okay...I feel like ther's some things that needs some work. is it a baby tiger because if not......then that tiger is tiiiiiiinnnnnnnny, which kinda throws some things off realistically. The pose itself.....safe.....overall it's just safe. I got nothing else to really say. toot or boot: soft toot up next: SpaceLab we're really doing the white tiger today. I do like you were the only one that has a chain lease and collar...... I would've gone a little further with it. the face and facial expression 100% there. I would either have more interaction with the tiger, or a stronger body language. or maybe have the tiger standing up and its around you like it's protecting you . the photo just needs something to push it more. toot or boot: toot up next: CupidStunt .............. okay, I see where you were going.......are you directly on the tiger....or are you floating or something... it's a little off putting. It is a beautiful photo, but if we're b eing realistic, I don't think that tiger would be chill like that XD. The just really feels out of place. And also the way your head is...it's kinda off putting as well...maybe because of your body position .....I feel like this would need a double check. toot or boot:......a very thin toot (it's not bad....but it needs some touch up and rechecking imo) up next: Antog Okay this is cute! my olny critique. yes it's strong, yes it's bold. I love the outfit and the pattern matching the tiger pattern. I just wanna see more interaction. you and the tiger have both equal fiercesness, but I wanna see how does that interact more with each other. toot or boot: Toot! up next: fancy Okay I love this! this is actually bold and risky. I am actually kinda happy with this. In this shoot the tiger has the power holding the leash and you're the one following orders. Now the tiger itself........it looks a little to wet like it went out for a swim. tbh I would've had a towel ready for the tiger master (that's just me camping it up) but over all you did a good job! toot or boot: Toot Trend Alert: TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!! top toot of the week: GuiltyAsSin my notes overall: Allot of very good photo's, but their were pieces that allot of you kinda miss. some of you missed the creative mark. allot of repetition, allot of things need to be doubled check, allot of people need to be more in the moment instead of looking feirce in the camera. Some of y'all did well with that, some of y'all kinda dropped the ball. my ranking: 1. GuiltAsSin 2. Amanda 3. Antog 4. tjamal9106 5. Fancy 6.Missmiranda 7. Spacelab 8.Lequisha 9.Marquis 10.Marilise 11. Manon 12. Zee 13.Vanili 14. Cupid 15.Melanie I had to get a little nitpicky but overall. These are my opinions don't take to heart. I respect everyone of you guys, Good Luck!!!! SEE YOU ON ANOTHER EPISODE!!

In #DNTM4. I’m so sick y’all don’t drag me too hard
