Leftists are not any more accepting of autistic and other neurodivergent people than any other political faction

When you use the word community in a political way against "rugged individualism", it can be an unintentional dog whistle against autistic and many other neurodivergent people because often they naturally don't have the same goals and motivations as most other people around them. I'm not saying it's malicious, I'm saying this is a good example of how poorly thought out political ideas can cause collateral damage

OFTEN seem to think autistic people are selfish for doing things their own way instead of everyone else's way. Perfect example of how a lot of people who claim to value neurodiversity don't walk the walk Not everyone who values community over everything else does this, but I've noticed it's a trend that a lot of people are falling into

Community = assimilation. I don't want to be fully a part of any community, I want to embrace that I'm autistic, eccentric and have different goals in life than most other people do. I want to stand out because that's how my brain works
