It was a really fun season and a tough finale, and you all submitted some strong song choices. I listened to each of them on my drive to my parents’ place and throughout my day today before making my final decision. So with that said, let’s get down to it. In Third Place The Kid Laroi, I gained a new respect for this artist this season. I had heard of him before, but I hadn’t really listened to his music much until now. For me, this song just ended up being my least favorite of the final submissions. The chorus especially didn’t land for me, as it felt a bit too sampled and didn’t hit in the way I hoped it would. That leaves us with Lady Gaga and SZA The next person eliminated is.... Lady Gaga, I ultimately knew this finale would come down to you and SZA. I was hoping your final song would grow on me, and it did, but not quite enough to beat Saturn. The chorus of Vanish Into You is definitely the standout moment, but that’s where it peaks for me. With Saturn, I find myself hooked from start to finish, which is something SZA consistently does really well as an artist. Congrats, SZA! You played extremely well this season. There was some tough competition, but you came out on top with some great picks near the end. Congratulations on a well-earned victory! Be on the lookout for Season 4 later for anyone who wants to play!
