Morgan's Big Brother (Season 9)

Morgan      ❤ 85    ▲5

(Open the image in a new tab to enlarge) After a few seasons with the Battle of the Block twist then bouncing right into All-Stars, it was time for a Back to Basics season...well sorta. This season featured a battleback and a triple eviction, two mechanics that have become staples within the series. There was a lot of fluid gameplay this season with no major sides truly forming. Instead, there were duos and trios that were constantly changing depending on the relationship dynamics. One of the most entertaining parts of the season was Jade and Ronald clutching vetoes back to back for 5 rounds in a row, bringing the two of them together as a comp beast duo as a result. While this season began relatively slow, it picked up quickly around the jury phase and it's safe to say that there were large amount of players who could've been a good winner for the season. Bobby was able to keep himself safe despite him being very clearly towards the top of the house and making his allegiances known. Ronald was a floater who was able to both minimize his threat level and win competitions when they mattered most for his game. At the end, the jury rewarded Bobby for his dominant gameplay and his ability to always be steps ahead of the curve. (Open the image in a new tab to enlarge) This season featured 20 of the most impactful players from the 7 previous seasons of Morgan's Big Brother. Not only was this the largest season cast wise, but this was also the longest season. This season featured the Safety Suite twist, where the winner of the Safety Suite earned safety for the round for themselves and another player of their choice; once that player won once, they could not win the Safety Suite again. This season consisted of a bunch of duos and trios sticking together which made for a very interesting dynamic to watch play out full of fluidity. Some strong players were sniped early while others solidified themselves as MBB legends. In the final days, the underestimated underdog Amber came out from the bottom and scooped the game up from the alliance that took over the late game. Despite Lawrence playing an extremely strong social game and being the player to go the longest without being nominated, the jury was able to respect the grittiness and scrappiness of Amber's game as she was able obtain safety when she needed it most and eventually take out the power player of the season, Robin. This season was a fun, unpredictable watch and definitely defines the end of this first era of this series. Morgan's Big Brother (Season 7)

(Open the image in a new tab to enlarge) This season genuinely might be my favorite so far, with a split cast and a whole lot of unexpected blindsides and twists. Season 7 was a total gauntlet, defined by a massive 18 person cast and the return of the Battle of the Block twist. The tone was set with a historic Day 2 eviction that sent Dawn home, followed by a high-speed mid-game where players scrambled to volley between 2 different HoHs. The game hit a chaotic peak with the return of the Triple Eviction during week 9 that claimed Dan, Teddy, and Gregg, followed by a Battleback shortly after that saw Teddy fight her way back into the house. This season was beyond unexpected. A few examples of this include: Teddy and Steph-Annie’s relationship blowing up after a controversial Veto use on Dan, and Neville proved to be a cold-blooded strategist by flipping on Teddy during the Triple and eventually backstabbing his closest ally, Kaye, at the Final 3. After 100 days, Maxwell’s control over the narrative proved undeniable. The cherry on top was his ability to convince Neville to take him to the end over Kaye, securing Maxwell a 6-3 jury win. Every player added something to the dynamic, but it was Maxwell’s ability to remain unscathed through the constant dynamic shifts that solidified him as a winner. Hero of the Season: Teddy Villain of the Season: Amber Player of the Season: Maxwell Kovaze's Favorite Player: Dan Cast: 1. Marie (melanie) 2. Ariella (Idol) 3. Ellianalynn (papa) 4. Morgan's Big Brother (Season 6)

(Open the image in a new tab to enlarge) Season 6 was a powerhouse season, marked by the debut of the Battle of the Block twist that kept the house in a state of constant paranoia. The early game was a bloodbath for players who were towards the bottom of the pack, but the momentum truly shifted at the Week 9 when BOTB ended and a Battleback occurred, where Cam successfully fought his way back into the game after being an extremely polarizing figure during his time in the house. The drama peaked during a chaotic Week 11 Week Reset that cancelled the eviction through the Reset Button. Throughout the mess, Ana Paula found herself backed into a corner and severely outnumbered by the remaining houseguests at the late game. Much like the season 5 winner JT, she relied on a clutch string of late-game competition wins to force her way into the finale. After evicting Mason on Day 97, the person controlling the narrative from start to finish, she secured the win over Bowie in a commanding 7-2 vote. Morgan's Big Brother (Season 5)

(Open the image in a new tab to enlarge) Season 5 was a monster of a season, dropping a record-breaking 18 houseguests into a game that immediately turned into a hunt for the veterans. The house quickly fractured into a "newbies vs. returnees" war that defined the season's momentum. The chaos peaked during the historic "Backwards Week," where the game flipped on its head: nominations happened first, followed by the Veto, leaving the Head of Household with the sole vote to evict—a terrifying power trip that ultimately sent Season 2 veteran Derek packing. The season's cruelest moment, however, was a case of pure déjà vu. For the second season in a row, veterans Paul and Jaden were both casualties of the Triple Eviction, wiping out most of the returnee alliance in one blow. Despite the target on the vets, JT worked as a shield for them which paid off due to his strong competition abilities. JT was able to surge to the end and take the crown in a 6-3 vote over Lyon. Hero of the Season: Taymorie Villain of the Season: JT Player of the Season: Lyon Kovaze's Favorite Player: Lawrence Newbie Cast: 1. Natalie (edmxxnd) 2. Jack (BlindsideTheory) 3. Morgan's Big Brother (Season 4)

(Open the image in a new tab to enlarge) Season 4 was a tug-of-war that kept me on my toes. The momentum swung back and forth, with Teresa playing the ultimate spoiler by racking up Veto wins to disrupt the power alliance's plans. Everything changed, however, because this season featured the first-ever Triple Eviction, a total bloodbath that decapitated members from the power alliance in one big swoop. Just when the bottom feeders thought they had control, the season’s 2nd ever Battleback twist threw a massive wrench in the gears, allowing Barron to return from the dead and dominate the endgame. The finalists were 2 sides of the same coin despite fighting from polar opposite sides, both dodging major obstacles along the way. While Barron battled his way back in, the jury ultimately respected the player who not only stayed in the house the whole time, but was fiercely (and undeservedly) underlooked. They awarded Miladys the 6-3 win for surviving the block five times and outlasting the chaos surrounding her journey. Hero of the Season: Paul Villain of the Season: Jared Player of the Season: Misty Kovaze's Favorite Player: Teresa Cast: 1. Jaden (@Justini) 2. Maddie (Maddie) 3. Teresa (TeresaFiesta) 4. Morgan's Big Brother (Season 3)

(Open the image in a new tab to enlarge) Season 3 was a fun watch despite the slow start. This was the first season to feature a battleback competition. The final 2 represent 2 strong yet different ways to play this game. Sophia's impact on the game was undeniable, being able to juggle every angle possible and become the player to go the longest without being nominated in MBB history so far. Crysta, on the other hand, played the most successful underdog game this series has seen yet and survived close to impossible circumstances. The cast depth was great, too—watching Sam and Reynolds both turn into Veto beasts mid-game was thrilling and Lolli battling her way back into the house only to win HoH and get evicted again was pure chaos. The 5-4 vote was fitting; it was a toss-up between Sophia’s social mastery and Crysta’s sheer grit, but Sophia’s ability to manage the whole house got her the edge. Hero of the Season: Crysta Villain of the Season: Mel Player of the Season: Sophia Kovaze's Favorite Player: Melvin Cast: 1. Gary (Woofums) 2. Raul (Glaceon) 3. Sam (CarltonRS) 4. (Open the image in a new tab to enlarge) While not as flashy as season 1, I do enjoy the shifts in the power and dynamics of season 2. Frannie and Emmett's close relationship going extremely south at the end was devastating but made for such a photo finish. Owen's win is so fun because he was an underdog and people underestimated him. While Owen wasn't ever at the absolute forefront, he was at the right places at the right time and was up against Frannie who played such a flashy game, but burnt so many of the jurors. All in all, this was a solid season with great characters. Hero of the Season: Tau Villain of the Season: Frannie Player of the Season: Emmett Kovaze's Favorite Player: Amanda Cast: 1. (Open the image in a new tab to enlarge) A great season honestly. So many compelling characters and brutal rivalries. Charli and Kodua vs. Melanie and Rhaenyra was a showdown for the ages that truly shaped the whole dynamic of the season. I genuinely was not able to tell who was going to come out on top until Robin started riding the wave between the 2 power alliances and grabbed the game by the balls for the last chunk of the game.
