Royale Format

Hi everyone! I’ll be sharing with you all the format for Royale today. The trailer will drop soon, where you’ll first lay eyes on this beauty. First, an announcement from me: With the Royale format now 99% complete and development progressing into the deeper stages, I’ll be subjecting myself to solitary confinement starting tomorrow for at least 7 days. I will be focusing all of my energy into completing this game, so I will be MIA from my regular admin duties, but Head_Mod will have the ability to contact me in an emergency via a discreet outlet. I will select one of the moderators (not Head Mod) to be acting admin whilst I am in solitary. * THE ROYALE FORMAT Enrolment - Enrolment will open in cycles. During these cycles, users can nominate to join the games. Once each Royale game is completed, players will be randomly distributed into games. There will be 75-100 players in each game. Bloodbath (The culling) - When the game begins, you will have 30 minutes to decide whether to join the bloodbath or run away (if you’re offline, you will run away by default). Those who join the bloodbath will be in there for the next hour. Here, weapons will be given out that must be fought for in group fights. If 7 people want to grab the arrows, they must have a group fight for it. During this time, those who ran away will be randomly teleported to one of 24 other locations. Locations - The map is a 5x5 grid. The bloodbath takes place in the center. You can move to a location next to you by clicking on the map grid, which will cost you thirst points. However, the map doesn’t show where each location is — as it’s randomised every game. You will have to use information and memory to navigate. Locations include: Waterfall, Forest, Cave, Desert, etc. Each location will have its own significance, or item popups. You will *only* see people in your location, and their messages. You cannot see what was typed before you joined a location. You will not know who’s in which location besides your own. Information is key! Items - There will be different items in the game, such as arrows for shooting a target, an energy drink, a GPS tracker, a medkit, etc. Food and Water - Food will be obtained through popups, like all items in the game. Water depletion makes it slower for you to move around the map. The lower you are on food, the more weakened your comp scores become. Food can be shared between players - however, the map will be riddled with poisonous foods that will cause immediate death. The person who picks up the poisonous item will know it’s poison, but the player they send it to will not. Be careful who you accept kindness from ;) Sleeping - For 8-10 hours a day, you are able to sleep in a camouflage tent. You cannot be attacked by other players during this time. However, once your slumber is over, you will be out in the open. Fighting - Players can fight other players in the same location as them. If your friend is being attacked, you will have the option to join the fight with them, and add a small % of your score to their score. But if your friend loses, you will all lose health as well! Death - If you reach 0 health, you will die. Winner - Be the last alive. * If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the format, please share them now before my departure!

The New Game - Play Testing

Firstly, I am bursting with enjoyment to show you all this game 😍 Some of you may have guessed already, but we did in fact commence the first play test of the game. I tried selecting a balanced cast so I can see the game play out as realistically as possible. You may have also noticed that you can't view the game yourself and this is intentional, I'm making sure to not spoil anything just yet 😉 The reactions I've received to the UI alone have been amazing and exactly what I'd hoped for. I wanted the visual experience of this game to be part of the game itself and I think people are going to be shocked in the best way. There may be some more play tests in the future, and if so I'll post a future update. Additionally, I wanted to host a live Q&A sometime, to answer questions regarding this game, moderation, etc. So be on the look out for that as well!

I'm glad so many of you are enjoying the Vending Machine!! I also hear the criticism. I'm holding firm in my belief that the vending machine as it currently exists, will benefit all users because: - Paid users can now obtain a design at a fraction of the price as before. - With paid users spending on vending machine instead of shops, shop prices should slightly deflate for the free users. As always, we appreciate any and all donations but don't expect anyone to do so. Games will always be free to play, and designs will always be obtainable through Koinz. For those of you who do choose to donate - thank you for being a catalyst to the growth of our site! We'll be bringing more free-to-use features in the near future. Thank you all! 💓

- Non Shop Owners can upload 10 designs daily now. Shop Owners can upload 20. - Shop owners can add more stock to a design that they have already posted. - Stock Shop page layout now a lot cleaner, and now shows how much permissions you have left - Designs page update. You can no longer minus designs. Instead, you can "Favourite" a design. - Design page filtering is now more sophisticated. You can show favourited designs, designs with perms on sale, designs sold in boutiques only, as well as adding "This Week" to the time period filter.

The Truth about your phone!

Hello Kovazia. I know some of us prefer playing some comps on our comp (some of us like playing all of them on it!) - so I thought I'd offer some transparency regarding the state of comps on phone. A lot of time has been spent trying to ensure that phones and computers have equal playing fields, but it's become clear that's becoming a never ending mission. The reason is, different phones behave differently. Some comps might work fine on my phone but they'll be completely broken on someone else's phone. That makes fixing these bugs slow and very time consuming with new bugs popping up for different phones all the time. It's completely possible some of the issues experienced can be fixed with changing some browser settings on your phone - that might be worth looking into. The best solution here however is to create a Kovaze app to ensure perfect integration into mobile devices. That is definitely something we'll look into in the future, but right now we're quite far from that on the roadmap. For now, a lot of time has been spent on phone compatiability and we don't want it to sidetrack other plans we had. I'll still look for ways to make comps more compatiable on phone, and am currently looking into a full screen feature, but the focus will be shifted a bit off of phone compatiability for a while.
