Shops Game Buff

The introduction of boutiques gives users a second (and potentially cheaper) outlet to buy designs, so we want to buff the shopping game to make it more rewarding for shop owners. Competing Shops Per Week: ̶1̶0̶ -> 8 Competing Minimum Price: ̶4̶0̶0̶ -> 300 Profit per sale: ̶1̶5̶%̶ -> 20% Expect a nerf to the Auctions in the coming days

Starfall and Maze reworks are now live

Maze: Phone controls may take some time adjusting to, but I just broke 2000 on my fourth try on phone and I suck at comps so that's saying something 🤣 I'll keep Starfall: Easier on phone and pc now. Playstyle is a little more fun - slightly more stars will spawn now for each star you score. Words: is back. Making the website prettier will be one of the next priorities. Would we be opposed to transitioning to a Dark Mode as a default? (Pic included). There wouldn't be an option to turn it back to light mode - not yet at least. I feel like there's a lot more that can be done in terms of design with this colour palette, and the website's accents will really have an opportunity to shine. On the other hand, avatars will no longer blend into the background. What do we think? (This is just a mockup)

- Private Messages button added to games - In race, when you check the "private message" box, it'll automatically select your teammate as the default option. - You can now see your partner's scores and transportation in Race

Starfall

Starfall has been changed so that the playstyle on phone is identical to that of PC. This is because it was never intended for it to be so much easier on phone. This means it will feel slightly harder on phone now given the advantage has been taken away. This change is *not* a part of the rework, it's a temporary bandaid whilst we rework the comp. The Starfall rework is being worked on and should provide a more fun and fluid experience on both PC and Phone.

Comp Rework Rollout

Hi all, in lieu of all the reworked comps being released on a single date, we will do a gradual rollout starting now. This is to minimise any bugs that may arise in the process. Keep in mind that for most comps, the main change will be migrating from Canvas to Pixi.js which will hopefully offer a much smoother experience across devices. Some comps will have their gameplay reworked. At 22:00 KVT, the following reworks will go live: - Holey: Migrating from Canvas to Pixi.js. Game should remain exactly the same, physics may feel slightly more realistic. - Guitar: Migrating from Canvas to Pixi.js. Game should remain exactly the same, this may fix the bug of button presses not registering on phone, otherwise this bug will need to be investigated further. - Words: Migrating from Canvas to Pixi.js. This will hopefully fix the zooming in bug. The gameplay of Words has also been reworked. Correct letters will offer 200 points instead of 10, and incorrect letters will deduct 250 points instead of 3. This will disincentivise the spamming meta in the current version of words, and reward players for "solving the word". After some play testing, I'm confident that this change will push a more enjoyable gameplay. Regarding Starfall (Has not been reworked yet, but had some changes): https://kovaze.com/blog/26378
