The New Game - Play Testing

Firstly, I am bursting with enjoyment to show you all this game 😍 Some of you may have guessed already, but we did in fact commence the first play test of the game. I tried selecting a balanced cast so I can see the game play out as realistically as possible. You may have also noticed that you can't view the game yourself and this is intentional, I'm making sure to not spoil anything just yet 😉 The reactions I've received to the UI alone have been amazing and exactly what I'd hoped for. I wanted the visual experience of this game to be part of the game itself and I think people are going to be shocked in the best way. There may be some more play tests in the future, and if so I'll post a future update. Additionally, I wanted to host a live Q&A sometime, to answer questions regarding this game, moderation, etc. So be on the look out for that as well!

I'm glad so many of you are enjoying the Vending Machine!! I also hear the criticism. I'm holding firm in my belief that the vending machine as it currently exists, will benefit all users because: - Paid users can now obtain a design at a fraction of the price as before. - With paid users spending on vending machine instead of shops, shop prices should slightly deflate for the free users. As always, we appreciate any and all donations but don't expect anyone to do so. Games will always be free to play, and designs will always be obtainable through Koinz. For those of you who do choose to donate - thank you for being a catalyst to the growth of our site! We'll be bringing more free-to-use features in the near future. Thank you all! 💓

The New Game

Hello everyone, I know some of you have been dying for updates regarding the new game (and there has been some radio silence on my end), so I thought I'd share a quick status update without disclosing too much :) The last few weeks have been a rollercoaster with constant pivots to the design of the game. At one point we had to scrap everything we had and start over. I really wanted this game to be perfect. The biggest challenge was coming up with a concept that all of our 500 daily users can enjoy, and that's no easy task. I also wanted to stay true to the reality TV aspect of these games because after all, this is an ORG site. The concept we've settled on is truly one of the most exciting and thrilling formats. It is completely Social/Strategy based, but unlike any other game seen before. I think the biggest skill that will come handy when playing this game is how well you're able to bluff, and how well you're able to read your opponent. A good lie can completely screw over someone's game and bring you one step closer to the prize (and it will be a juicy prize!) The other challenge was regarding the pace of the game - as in, whether it would be a slow game and fast game. We wanted a slow game, but we thought this format was perfect for both. For that reason, we've decided to also release a fast version of the game that only appears on specific day (likely Sundays). Due to the nature of the format, the slow format of the game will likely play out in a slightly longer pace than Outcasted, but we are working hard to find ways to trim the length of the game. In saying that, the game will be jam-packed with twists and entertainment, so we're not too worried about the length of it. We know this isn't something that's been done on previous sites (most games usually end within 7 days), but our goal is always to give off an ORG feel with our games and I would never want to compromise on that just to speed a game up. (Don't worry though, the payouts will be worth it!). Now lets talk twists. Part of the reason why development has taken so long is because this game is quite large. I want every game to feel different than the last. There will be different advantages and twists that you can obtain throughout the game, and not all are guaranteed to appear. The goal here is you could play the game over and over and every time you play it, it feels new. Finally, I wanted to touch on premades. Most of you will like this, some of you won't - there will be a brand new enrolment feature implemented for this game to make sure casts are divided randomly into games. This game will have no premades. I understand that some of you may want to play with your friends, but this is an ORG site. You cannot sign up to an ORG with 7 of your friends. Just like the real shows, when you get cast on Survivor/BB/etc you will most likely not know anybody else on the cast. I want this game to feel like you are actually being cast on one of these reality TV shows. This will be the most immersive game ever, you will feel like you have actually been cast on a social reality competition, and I am beyond excited to share it with you. I know the wait has been long, but we're not too far off. I promise it'll be worth it ;) (P.S, I haven't forgotten about the survey giveaway! I've been busy with this but I'll get to that soon).

- Non Shop Owners can upload 10 designs daily now. Shop Owners can upload 20. - Shop owners can add more stock to a design that they have already posted. - Stock Shop page layout now a lot cleaner, and now shows how much permissions you have left - Designs page update. You can no longer minus designs. Instead, you can "Favourite" a design. - Design page filtering is now more sophisticated. You can show favourited designs, designs with perms on sale, designs sold in boutiques only, as well as adding "This Week" to the time period filter.

The Truth about your phone!

Hello Kovazia. I know some of us prefer playing some comps on our comp (some of us like playing all of them on it!) - so I thought I'd offer some transparency regarding the state of comps on phone. A lot of time has been spent trying to ensure that phones and computers have equal playing fields, but it's become clear that's becoming a never ending mission. The reason is, different phones behave differently. Some comps might work fine on my phone but they'll be completely broken on someone else's phone. That makes fixing these bugs slow and very time consuming with new bugs popping up for different phones all the time. It's completely possible some of the issues experienced can be fixed with changing some browser settings on your phone - that might be worth looking into. The best solution here however is to create a Kovaze app to ensure perfect integration into mobile devices. That is definitely something we'll look into in the future, but right now we're quite far from that on the roadmap. For now, a lot of time has been spent on phone compatiability and we don't want it to sidetrack other plans we had. I'll still look for ways to make comps more compatiable on phone, and am currently looking into a full screen feature, but the focus will be shifted a bit off of phone compatiability for a while.
