for the 6 conservative justices to somehow justify that banning conversion therapy for minors, which is literally just a method of torture, was an infringement on people's first amendment rights. but Sotomayor and Kagan voting with them to make it 8 - 1 is actually psychotic. LOL like america is a joke

I mean, yes, conversion therapy is wrong, but also, if you look at the details of the case, it is technically just talking/advice, which is protected under the First Amendment as freedom of speech. You can disagree with the ruling implications while also not blaming Sotomayor and Kagan for voting based on what the Constitution protects and not voting as activist judges
yawnha freedom of speech does not mean freedom to inflict harm. you aren't free to make a terroristic threat because you are signaling that you intend to inflict harm which will get you put in prison. we all know that gay conversion therapy does not work and harms/traumatizes gay kids. i dont understand the mental gymanstics we're doing trying to pretend that certain exceptions to free speech are fine but this one isnt?
It's disgusting, truly. I am intersex so I never will fully understand what Trans people go through but I do feel our experiences are similiar I was bullied into a box as a child when I had both sex characteristics. It's so disgusting how Trans people are treated just for being who they are.
