Hop on the bandwagon #DNTM3
Since everyone is posting their photo seperate I thought I would give it a go. #DNTM3
When I think of grapes, I think of luxury. Grapes symbolize abundance, which I tried to emulate by posing on a vineyard with tons of grapes being grown to make wine, a luxury. In some cultures, grapes symbolize longevity, which I hope to have in this competition, another reason for the choice. I also chose grape because there are many different kinds of grapes, and so it gave me some freedom with my color pallet to use a few different key colors in designing my look/background.
I made my pose simple but it had some meaning too. I chose to lean against the wall to be sort of like a vine growing up the wall, but also more obviously to look casual, confident, and that I belong on the vineyard (tried giving old money vibes). I added subtle detailing to the suit that is harder to see in the blurrier upload, but is clearer in the photo sent to the judges.
Lastly, I look time editing my facial expression to still be a bit more intense and direct to camera to listen to the feedback last week, but I also tried to add just a hint of a sour look to my face.
I don't think I am top photo this week as I think Bosslady or Thiii will take that, but I don't think I am near the bottom either.
GL to everyone!

You see, I actually like the photo itself, but I do feel like it kind of misses the brief? In this photo, my eyes were instantly attracted to the background, then your face and then I actually did struggle to find what the fruit was until I zoomed in. I think you could have maybe shifted some more of the focus onto the fruit to execute it a lot better. I do like the photo though!!
Tisha I just didn't want color drench the entire photo and overload with grapes. It didn't say "must have tons of fruit in it" it just said must embody the fruit. I thought about not having any actual grapes on me at all because I thought the entire image was embodying the fruit in a sense. But I figured that might be not enough so I added the detailing to the suit.
Goomybear I agree, it doesn't need to be overloaded! To be honest, I didn't even notice the detailing on the suit until you just mentioned it. I understand the reasoning behind your choices though!
Tisha Its all so much harder to see in the upload. discord me because I also want to see your photo in the original version! Goomybear. with the period
I really liked your picture, gommy, but I thought it was pretty safe, there are worse ones, i don't think you'll be at the bottom!
Maris Thank you. Considering I took a risk with the darker image last week, I felt better with a safer pose, and focus on the subtle details that would make the look instead. Hoping for a theme soon where I can find the balance and knock it out of the park.
