Do people really pay for dating apps?

Cherry 3 hours ago22 views

I finally downloaded hinge last night and made a profile. I check it now and 19 people liked me but it's only letting me look at one of them?!?! Then it asked me if I wanted to upgrade and pay $30 a month. Wtf that's so expensive, do people really do that? Am I just stupid and there is a way for me to see more people who like me for free, or do I really only get to see 1 man?

well, you're not stupid.... i never used hinge but im assuming its like tinder in which you have to "match" with them to see if the person liked you or not... but if you don't want to play the matching game you can pay to see the people who liked u

30 a month is crazy.. I haven't been on the dating scene in about 8-9 years, but I never paid for them, no. I don't remember them being that obscenely priced back then either.
