Theatre Rant

I keep doing swing contracts. For anyone who does not know, a swing means I understudy multiple roles. In this musical I understudy 3 lead roles. They each have their own harmonies, choreography, lines, blocking, costume changes, prop/set movement, etc. I have already gone on for 2/3 of the roles multiple times during this contract. I started getting complacent that I would never have to do the 3rd... well- guess who is on tomorrow for a 2-show day? THIS GUY, in the final role. Completing my SWINGO, if you will. But gurl, I just crammed that entire track into my brain in 12 hours and I am tired... to make procrastination worse... I have a cabaret I am performing in after those 2 shows. And I am just now learning the songs 😭. Idk why I do this to myself.
