Do you believe your favorite artist has enough repertoire to win any challenge? It’s time to find out. In THE ARTIST, each participant will represent a single artist or band throughout the entire competition. Every round will feature a new theme, and competitors must select a song from their chosen artist that best fits the challenge. But simply picking good songs won’t be enough. You’ll need to manage resources, plan ahead, and think strategically. CREDIT SYSTEM All participants will start the season with 100 credits. Each song used will have a cost based on the number of views of the selected YouTube video. The more popular the video, the more credits it will cost. Views | Cost Up to 500K | 1 500K – 2M | 3 2M – 10M | 5 10M – 50M | 10 50M – 100M | 15 100M – 500M | 20 500M – 1B | 30 Over 1B | 40 Example: You choose a song with 1.5 billion views. Strong choice — but it will cost 40 credits, leaving you with only 60 credits for the rest of the season. Is it worth spending heavily on major hits, or should you save resources for later rounds? That decision is entirely yours. REPERTOIRE RULE Each song can only be used once throughout the entire season. Once submitted, it becomes unavailable for the remaining rounds. Managing your artist’s repertoire will be just as important as managing your credits. JUDGING Each round will be evaluated by three judges. Each judge will score every entry from 0 to 10 based on three criteria: Theme Fit: how well the chosen song matches the round’s theme. It’s not just about picking a good song, but about making a smart and relevant choice. Emotion / Impact: how strongly the performance connects with the listener, including intensity, atmosphere, emotional delivery, and overall ability to capture attention. Vocal / Technical Quality: the vocal performance and execution of the chosen recording, including tone, control, interpretation, and overall audio quality. All judges’ scores will be combined and accumulated throughout the season to form the overall ranking. VIDEO RULES Song cost will be determined by the specific YouTube video submitted by the participant. Alternative versions, live performances, and other uploads are allowed. However, lower quality videos, poor audio, or anything that negatively affects the listening experience may result in lower scores in Emotion/Impact and Vocal/Technical Quality. STRATEGY There is no single winning formula. You can choose a globally popular artist and rely on major hits. You can choose a lesser-known artist and manage your credits more efficiently. Or you can pick a versatile artist capable of adapting to different themes. Each approach has clear advantages and risks. TWISTS Throughout the season, special events may occur that can change the course of the competition. Extra credits, immunity, and other advantages may be awarded to participants. Nothing is fully under control. PARTICIPANT SIGN-UP 12 participants will be selected for the first season. To apply, send an email with the name of the artist or band you wish to represent. Artist choices are locked once confirmed and will be announced after the sign-up period ends. JUDGE APPLICATIONS We are also accepting applications for the three permanent judges of the competition. Judges will be responsible for evaluating all performances throughout the season.
