im super into fantasy books but im basic and love the ones that are mostly romance stuff. my fav series of all time is Throne in The Dark by AK Caggiano.
Renegades by Marissa Meyer was a good time. very scifi. a little romancey but mostly action/politics.
The Testing is another scifi-ish one but i didnt love it.

I liked starter villain by John scalzi. It wasn’t deep at all but it was a fun light read. Do you have goodreads? We should add each other!
Broken Earth trilogy is my all time favorite. It is polarizing, tho.
