Hello Kovazians.
As this site grows and we get more and more users on the website, it is clear Discord is the mainline communication between players rather than in game chat.
We understand that this is a tool outside of Kovaze and we can not fully moderate every situation that does not happen in front of us. However, we are taking steps to try and moderate some of the more out of line comments that are shared to us on Discord. While we previously declared most of these things as outside of the scope of our moderation, we have decided to start sanctioning users based on things that happen in DMs on Discord. This is to keep the community safe, mitigate bullying, and creating a standard of just being nice to each other.
This is not to moderate how you are able to talk to your friends. We understand, in friendly banter, you may say things that are not permissible to say on this platform or in the Discord. What we are looking at is SPECIFICALLY Kovaze-related incidents.
You are no longer allowed to call people slurs, threaten them, or whatever else because they nominated you in Hysteria or idoled you out in Outcasted. That being said, we will NOT be accepting reports long after an incident. Some exceptions will be made, but the timeline will absolutely be considered when addressing these types of reports. You aren't going to be able to use this to your advantage because someone made you mad months later.
Please use your normal routes of reporting for these incidents and include links to screenshots when applicable. These can be directly in the reports or sent to a moderator via mails/DM/the ticket feature in the server.

This is a lil crazy to me, y’all are doing too much. If big time social media platforms don’t do this, I don’t think y’all should either. Where is the line drawn? If two people get into a fight in a friend server over a game and fall out can the slurs said in that argument be used to get the other banned? Even if slurs are constantly said in the server? Situations like that will come up and it will be hard to stay consistent.

Dream I AGREE you dont have the jurisdiction to set rules on an outside platform. Your scope and responsibility is to the parameters of this website. You are not responsible or legally obligated to respond to anything that happens outside of this domain.
Dream If your response to getting in a fight online with someone is to start calling them slurs I think you have bigger issues

Dream Large social media platforms do ban people for things done off of their website. This is about things that happen in DM directly related to Kovaze games. If you are being attacked in a server, the moderators of that server are responsible.

discord has their own moderation team for this reason. as someone who does similar work to this i think it's best you guys leave the moderating on discord chats to discord themselves, and just take care of moderating the kovaze server and site. too much overreach and suddenly you guys are responsible for everything your users do outside of this platform and it gets really, really messy.

Wow this is great. Next, I think it would be an amazing idea to expand your "jurisdiction" to other sites too, you know, when you get super bored and have nothing else to do. Im thinking for the next foray into other websites we should start with Pinterest and Instagram, and obviously if anyone here has an Onlyfans account we should ban them for posting... lewd videos. I think it might also be a great idea to use the wayback machine and punish anyone for unsavory zwooper behavior as well.

MOD_Monty again tho it’s all he said she said it’s too easy to delete chats and then what? Whose side do we take. It’s a touchyyy one and I hate yall have to do this because we have immature children on the site posing as adults in adult bodies
