I've always spoken truth to power. My first year on Student Council board in high school, our lead director would literally scream at the other board members (mainly girls) and make them cry. Once it happened for the third time, I asked him to speak to me in the hallway and I explained to him that Student Council is not football (he had been coaching football prior to taking over StuCo) and that speaking to people like that is unacceptable and he needed to know his audience. Me being 15 years old clocking a 45 year old.
He received it well and then at the end of the year told me how much he appreciated me doing that. He told me he wanted me to be President when I was a senior and that's exactly what happened :p
