You should read up on all that has been accomplished in the US with nonviolent protests...

Marquis do you really think the current administration gaf about a bunch of people with signs be so fr this isn't 1992 anymore. With the tech it has, the far right global alliances it has, the normalization of hatred it has done? They are literally killing people in the streets and America is still only at 42%~ defund ice according to polls. Donald trump at lowest, is still at 40% approval.

RandyBandy Oh, absolutely. The Trump administration is the definition of evil and continues to get away with evil shit. What else do you suggest progressive Americans do, though? Even people who protest peacefully are still shot and killed, so getting aggressive with an enemy who has no moral compass and no one holding them accountable will not bode well. The US has a fascist authoritarian administration put in power by its own people. All Americans can do is make as many people aware of the evil corruption before the election. Are the No Kings protests going to overthrow Trump? Of course not, but no one is expecting that they will. Complacency and inactivity is accepting defeat. Making sure their message is heard on the national stage with massive protests is the best progressive Americans can do in the face of this administration.

How do you think we got women the right the vote, for integration, etc. They all happened bc of protests, which lead to change

Fiji its not 1920 anymore... Completely different world with different circumstances. Governments, especially ones as large as USA, are essentially just giant mega corps. They don't gaf about 10 million people holding signs! The protests were even held on weekends so it wouldn't get in the way of people working I couldn't face palm harder

RandyBandy its not just from the 1920s, you can look at the civil rights movement in the 50s, the womens rights movement in the 70s (roe v wade), the vietnam protests, the lgbt movements that have been going on for YEARS that gave us so many rights, it's not like this has happened forever ago. For context, gay people nationwide got the right to MARRY only 10 years ago.
