#DNTM3 W/ Special Guest KaliMinaj runner-up of DNTM S2 ! Welcome or welcome back to Panel Before Dark, where special guests and I put contestants’ portfolios under the spotlight. Before we begin, I got another opportunity to sit down and chat with DNTM host Dimitra == Q: After the first photoshoot of the season, do you already see potential frontrunners, or is the competition still wide open for anyone to take? Dimitra: I believe that based on the first photoshoot, the competition is still completely open for everyone. There were definitely some photos that stood out, but not by huge margins compared to others, so at this point, anything is possible. Q: Can a beautiful photo alone be enough to secure a win, or does it take more than that? Dimitra: A beautiful photo can definitely help someone win, but we are also looking for that extra something — something unique that makes the image stand out even more. Q: This is the biggest season yet, with 18 contestants. In such a crowded and competitive cast, what does a model need to do to truly stand out? Dimitra: To truly stand out, something I say every season is that contestants need to bring something different. Original ideas are important, but they must still fit within the theme and not stray too far from it. Creativity with a strong result will always get noticed Q: With the addition of male models this season, along with a diverse cast including a plus-size model and a drag performer, do you think having a unique look or identity give contestants a natural advantage in the competition? Dimitra: Contestants with a unique identity can absolutely stand out because of it, but the exact opposite can also happen — the competition can overwhelm them. Having a distinct identity means nothing if you cannot deliver strong photoshoots consistently Q: When it comes to eliminations, how challenging is the decision-making process for you and the judging panel Dimitra: Each judge gives their own score and personal critique, and all of those are combined into one final score for each model. In many cases, when the photos are very strong, the results can be extremely close. At the end of the day, we are five different people with different opinions — one judge may absolutely love a photo while another may not, and that is honestly one of the best parts of the competition. =================================== - The time has come to review the contestants' first official submissions! (Disclaimer: We are not official judges. Please don’t take our critiques personally, our goal is to offer helpful feedback, constructive criticism, and tips that can support your growth <3) Photo Theme: Carousel   ROBBIERIOT Kali: You look expensive. This photograph immediately grabs attention because you understand power and silhouette. The way your body melts into the giraffe while your face remains composed creates this surreal high-fashion fantasy that feels straight out of a Vogue Italia editorial. The lighting loves you, the texture of the coat adds incredible movement, and your pose is controlled without feeling stiff. My only critique is that your face could push one degree further emotionally — the image is stunning, but I want just a little more danger behind the eyes. Still, this is absolutely one of the strongest photographs of the week. Dusa: What a great photo for her first official submission! You're one of a handful of models this season that im confident will win a best photo or two. Love the pose and angle. I'm unfortunately torn about the purple LED looking lighting, which cheapens the photo a bit for me. Being able to tell a story from a single shot is an indicator of a fierce competitor in DNTM, but im not sure what story youre trying to tell us. Are you in a carousel or at a club? I believe you could have what it takes to win, but you need to keep pushing. Also im going to get this out of the way now, but I do not like how you matched your outfit colour to the lighting colour grade. You needed to wear another colour to contrast the purple to stand out. Althhough, the outfit is one of the more interesting ones out of the bunch.   MURIBOLT Kali: This is glamorous in a very classic way. You understand your angles beautifully and your legs look endless. The red styling against the gold carousel creates a rich, luxurious image and your body language is seductive without becoming tacky. However, your face is relying a little too much on “pretty.” I don’t fully feel a story from you yet. In an editorial, beauty alone is never enough. But visually? Gorgeous shot. Dusa: You look great, but theres nothing else to rave about. There have been tons of girls from the previous seasons who were hanging on to pretty. We know that youre a pretty model, but what else can you offer us that no one else can give but you? To me this looks pretty standard and i'll probably forget this photo ever existed by tomorrow morning.   GOOMYBEAR Kali: This is fashion. Period. You took a potentially ridiculous styling concept and transformed it into something theatrical and editorial. The feathered shoulders create this dramatic shape around your body, and the way you’re lounging gives confidence and aristocratic arrogance. Your face profile is incredibly strong here. You look like the villain in a couture campaign — and I mean that as the highest compliment. The darkness of the image works for you instead of swallowing you. One of the best this week because you committed completely to the fantasy. Dusa: Ok so I did get an opportunity to see your potential photos prior to you submitting when you asked for opinions. The first photos of you were pretty plain/basic, and I was honest and told you youd probably be safe. Now, im happy that you changed the outfit a bit wit the dramatic feather accents. I just wishhhh you took my advice and didnt wear all black, because youre almost incognito. I know that the photo probably makes the original photo your submitted look wonky, but this is a lesson to be prepared. Overall, its a good photo. I see you as one of the better male models so far. Play more with camera angles and lighting throughout the competition.   SEXYTEX Kali: You photographed beautifully, but I think you relied heavily on your natural attractiveness. The body looks phenomenal — your proportions are insane — but the pose feels slightly expected. There’s not enough tension in the image. When I look at this cast, several people gave me fantasy; you gave me “beautiful girl on carousel.” It’s still strong, but not unforgettable. Dusa: I'm a bit let-down :( obviously a gorgeous photo of you, but I feel like you looked at the theme being on a carousel and withdrew other requirements for the photoshoot. Its cute, but its not high fashion. I can see this on a victoria's secret ad, but that was not the task you were given. In my season, a couple frontrunners went home because they did not follow the prompt. I could see you being a top contender, but you need to be more careful. I think the face card and pose should be enough to keep you safe.   SAM Kali: There is something incredibly dynamic about this shot. The diagonal line of your body creates motion and drama, and you committed physically to the brief. You look like a gladiator flying through the carousel. My issue is your face — the intensity in the body is not matched in the expression. Your eyes disconnect slightly from the power pose. But this is still a compelling editorial image because you took a risk. Dusa: I went back and forth on this. At first glance, I thought wow thats an interesting cool pose. The photo was almost there for me, but there was a couple technical mistakes that took points away from you. I wish we could have seen some physical motion to make the photo feel alive, like a flash blur in the back, or your cape flowing in the wind, Instead you look awkward. I do love that you went for a strongman aesthetic. I dont see you anywhere in the bottom.   DAILYICON Kali: This is one of the best photographs of the week because you understand fashion narrative. The coat movement, the pose, the open chest, the arrogance in your expression — everything feels intentional. You look like a decadent prince at midnight in Paris. Your connection with the camera is excellent because you’re giving attitude without overposing. The styling could have easily worn you, but instead you elevated it. This feels like a real luxury campaign. Dusa: I'm quite shocked by how fast your rebound was! easily the most improved for me! and possibly a contender for best photo? I'm only going to critique you on how busy the background looks and some distortions as well that I've noticed. I know it can be difficult to fix, but thats the game ! Keep it up!   CAMELL22 Kali: You have a very photogenic face. The profile is soft, elegant, and cinematic. What I appreciate is that you created a quieter moment amidst all the maximalism. However, editorially, I wish the body had more tension. Your upper half is beautiful, but the lower body disappears slightly into the horse. Still, this is sophisticated and believable. Dusa: I'm going to be honest.. I think youll probably be bottom 2 or low. This photo is boring. Theres nothing to talk about, half your face isnt seen and your outfit is a bit hidden. I have a lot of notes, but I dont know where to start. The photo is too soft, too amateur. I think youd do good in close-up editorial challenges, but you need to match the energy of what the theme is.   BOSSLADY Kali: Your strength is your presence. Even standing relatively still, you command attention. The gown movement is gorgeous and your posture is incredibly elegant. The issue is that the face becomes a little too serene. In a carousel fantasy shoot, I wanted more emotional commitment. But your proportions are stunning and you know how to create length. Dusa: The dress is quite similar to your casting photo. I do not want to see you looking like a one -trick pony. I hope that once you saw the other contestant's you realized that safe isnt good enough. I think you couldve elevated your enviroment a bit more. I know you wanted to be the star of the photo, but props and colour grading can help enhance your star quality and photo in general.   TAYVIE Kali: This styling is doing a lot, and unfortunately you let it overpower you. The clothes are luxurious, but I don’t know where to look first. Your pose feels stiff and disconnected from the carousel, almost like you’re standing for a catalog shoot instead of inhabiting a fantasy world. The face is handsome, but the image lacks impact and storytelling. You needed to push the character further. Dusa: I actually like this photo! The outfit is a statement piece, you ticked the box on that. I already see so much improvement compared from your last photoshoot. You look tall and actually look like you could be a model. I appreciate all the jewelry and accessories you added to your outfit. However, you need to be careful, because you're borderline towards looking like a pimp. I appreciate that you upped your fashion sense, lets finesse that a bit and I could see your being another dark horse in the competition.   LEWIS Kali: This is camp in the best way possible. You completely embraced the absurdity and turned it into fashion fantasy. The movement is fantastic, the boots are dramatic, and the body line is very editorial. I just wish your face had slightly more intensity because the styling is already doing so much visually. But this is memorable — and in fashion, memorable matters. Dusa: Almost there for me. I love the colours and the motion blur you incorporated to the photo, but the pose is quite awkward. I get that you were trying to look like you were being tugged by the carousel. However, just like Sam, you both failed that effect. your hand needed to be extended and you needed to be a bit more perpendicular, because the photo makes you look like youre floating. The outfit is good !   HARE Kali: The styling is beautiful, but the photograph feels too aware of itself. You look handsome, but it borders on costume instead of couture because the pose feels cautious. I needed more commitment and more interaction with the carousel environment. The image also lacks tension in the face; everything feels a little too polished and safe. Compared to the stronger performers, this falls short editorially. Dusa: The colour grading is a bit mundane. I think with the right shadow play and colour scheme, you couldve probably ended up with a better photo. Your proportions are also a bit disjointed, your legs look quite short, making you look like youd probably be 5'6.   TORIMARIE Kali: This is ethereal and visually striking. The pale blue skin against the warm carousel lights creates an amazing contrast, and your posing is elegant and statuesque. You understood how to let the garment drape while still showing shape. I do wish your expression carried more emotion, because the image is almost too beautiful. But aesthetically, this is gorgeous. Dusa: I'm still not sold on you. The dress is beautiful and dramatic, but it does not wow me. I kind of wished that you cropped the photo, because from the feet down, theres nothing to really see, and it takes up like 1/3 of the picture. I definitely think youre safe, but im curious about you.   TISHA Kali: This is ART. You took a risk and it paid off massively. The skeletal concept could have become gimmicky very quickly, but your body language is so graceful that the image becomes hauntingly beautiful instead of silly. Your hair movement is incredible, and the way your limbs stretch creates this eerie editorial elegance. You sold the fantasy completely. One of the standout photos of the week. Dusa: I agree with everything that Kali said. If i really had to nitpick, the purple lighting is a bit out of place. Small little details like that can really change the whole vibe and make you look amateurish. Thankfully this is episode one, and I know youll be delivery more great photos.   HONEY Kali: You know how to photograph expensively. This image feels rich, sensual, and polished. Your body positioning is fantastic because every limb creates shape without looking forced. The sparkle of the dress combined with the softness in your expression gives luxury beauty campaign energy. My only critique is that I want a little more unpredictability from you — but this is undeniably strong and very marketable. Dusa: I feel like you had a clear idea of what you wanted to do and you accomplished just that, but not to the fullest extent that I know youre capable of. This aesthetic is already so much different from everyone elses. Yes the theme is carousel, but make the carousel your own, which you 100% did. I'm keeping an eye on you and everyone else should too.   POOF Kali: Best photo of the week. Everything works: the colors, the movement, the relaxed confidence, the subtle sensuality. You understand negative space, posture, and facial control at a level far beyond the others. What makes this photograph exceptional is that it feels effortless while still being visually explosive. You transformed a carousel into a couture dreamscape. The softness in your pose contrasts perfectly with the sharpness of the styling. Dusa: The colours are so whimsical and cute. The outfit is sooo uniquely your own. I know I said yours was my favourite when the photos were released, but I do have a new favourite that took over your spot. And thats solely based on re-analyzing your pose and aesthetic. The pose is almost there for me, but I needed a lttle bit more energy, because everytime I look at it, im either impressed or notice you looking too bored in the face, with a slouching pose, with one limp arm hanging on your side. Some refinements wouldve locked this in as my favourite for sure.   GLITTER Kali: Unfortunately, this is the weakest photograph of the week. The image feels disconnected from the brief and from the rest of the cast. Everyone else embraced drama, fantasy, or luxury, while this feels like a candid from a music video set. Your expression is flat, the body lacks intention, and the styling completely overwhelms you instead of being elevated by you. Most importantly, there is no narrative. In fashion photography, being pretty is never enough — you have to create a world. And here, I don’t know who you are in the picture. Dusa: I do see you in the bottom. This looks like a tumblr photo from 2013. Just too pedestrian with no elements of high fasion. This is also quite a big shift from your orginal casting photo. I know you got critiques about doing too much, but now youre doing nothng at all.   THIII Kali: You photographed beautifully and the hair movement adds glamour, but the pose becomes slightly repetitive. The face is strong, yet I wanted more connection to the carousel fantasy itself. You gave polished beauty shot more than editorial storytelling. Still, you undeniably look luxurious. Dusa: Safe. The facecard is gorgeous. The pose is clean, but its quite lacklustre. You need to think outside of the box, before you really start to fall behind. SEONG Kali: This photograph disappoints me because you have presence, but you completely shut down in front of the camera. The styling is incredible, yet your pose feels passive and the expression lacks energy. Instead of commanding the frame, you’re letting the environment dominate you. There’s no tension in the body and no emotional hook in the eyes. Compared to the stronger men this week, this feels one-note and forgettable. Dusa: Seong the crop is all wrong. You look like a tiny person, which we all know youre not. I wish we could have seen your full fit, because it probably wouldve been my favourite. Its just unfortunate that youre so scrunched up that we lose a lot of details. I dont think this photo alone derails you from being look upon as a threat, but if you keep making these mistakes, the judges will show no mercy. Kali's Rankings: 1. Poof 2. Goomybear 3. Dailyicon 4. Ralts's critiques DNTM3 #01

Ralts023      ❤ 103    ▲12

Hello models, Welcome to season 3 of DNTM, you have entered the selected group of DNTM participants. Let me give a disclaimer before I get into it. Nothing I say really matters since I'm not a judge. Nothing I say is ever going to be from a genuine mean place, sorry if sometimes the joke doesn't land since it's all written and there's no tone. I have no intent in bringing anyone down and making anyone's experience bad. Being a Dimitra model is one of the most fun I've had around here and I hope you do too. That being said, I hope that I can critique every week. Last season it caught me mid-moving across my country and I didn't have much time to do it after like F8, so I'll try my best. I like originality and a unique POV, if you're not going to follow Dimitra's (not so strict apparently this season) prompts at least make it interesting. RobbieRiot - We weren't wrong when we all like your presentation photo. This is a very strong start. The pink lighting hits you perfectly. The lines your legs create are very well done. You look glossy af and a very strong face. My only note is that the giraffe weakens this photo, the giraffe looks cheap and doesn't exactly give carrousel persay, but really strong start. muribolt - I can see you have a branding of covering your beautiful face and I hate it. While it gives sexy, it doesn't read as classy, it's more on the cheap side. I really like the pose, it looks relaxed but not lazy. Goomybear - I love the outfit. One of the strongest. My biggest problem with this picture is that everything seems to have the same pattern/texture... The pants, the suit, the floor, the carrousel, it's all too similar looking. I would have loved more light so get more details of the picture. The pose is cool, relaxed, chill, looking away but still in a model way. SexyTex - Oh those legs look CORRECT. The face is just giving sweet and innocent girl, it's not fully giving me model while the dress is not giving innocent at all, I like the contrast, but I wish there was something more WOW to it. Ok the contrary of Goomy's, yours is too bright for me and with the already shining bodysuit, everything could have been a tad more subtle. Sam - I like the intention but it is not executed well at aaaall. I don't really see the theme of the Tarzan outfit while being in a carrousel and the carrousel theme isn't even related to the outfit. It's very confusing. The pose is very strange and not flattering neither. I read that you had to scrap two other ideas and honestly I would love to see them cause there's no way that they are worse than this. dailyicon - What an upgrade (I think I didn't enjoy much your entrance but a lot of you men looked similar tbh). I really like this photo. The lines created with both legs are very well done, the looking away at camera gives it that model posing and the cloak is marvelous. Im lazy to go back and see but I hope you aren't one of the shirtless ones and if you were, buy some, there's no reason to be shirtless here. camell22 - You give such soft boy energy and I love it. The side profile is good. It's a very safe and well executed photo, nothing extremely interesting but nothing wrong with it. Try and go for a bit more is my advice. bosslady - While I really like the photo, I hate that it seems like it's a studio with just one piece of carrousel, there needs to be more detail in the ambience. If the legs were straight the posing would be much stronger and fierce, since that's what it seems that you're going for. Tayvie - This is just another ok photo. The outfit is cute but there's not much more to look at. Veeeery safe in general. Lewis - The mess of the season hahahaha I'm really sorry but this is a big no once again. The movement is faaaar too much. Your hippads kind of look busted with the legs being bent up. I do enjoy the androgyny that it's giving male presenting top and female presenting bottom. Hare - Hmmm the outfit is kind of not done with good taste. It looks tacky, cheap, costumy, not cohesive and cheap. The lighting while being night time in the background, it seems to be daylight on him, it looks weird. Also, why is he riding the carrousel outside of the carrousel? Lol Just got great attention to details in general. Torimarie - Ugh! Love! This time clothing, hair and skin do seem to be in the same universe of textures, you fixed that here. The leg going up need to either be creating a 90° angle or 45° angle or it looks lazy, specially being so strong in the arm pose. The coat looks expensive, love. The blue skin on the leg also looks patchy, don't make me think it's paint instead of your real skin tone hahaha Tisha - The pose works reeeally well but it would be even strong if the legs were the opposite, the one on the back should be the bent one so I doesn't cute the line of the other leg. Love the flowiness. The arms don't look proportioned at all though, the extended arms look so long compared to the one holding the pole. I just know you and AI must fight cause it doesn't understand a skeleton model. honey - With this picture I'm having the same problem as with some others already mentioned. The textures of all just blend it a little too well and I can't even figure out what everything is exactly. She has one hand on the pole and The other one where? I can't figure it out. The dress seems to have the same lights the background had. Poof - The men in general seem to have liked this theme, most of you improved and I think you are one of the ones that improved the most. The outfit eats down, I appreciate there being more than just one color, it gets too matchy matchy I hope people would play with color palettes in general more than just one color for their theme. I don't really like how both of his legs are bent, it just makes you look a bit slouched but I love your face, it's relaxed, looking straight at the camera, it's a mix of seduction and wanting to be seduced, love. Glitter - What happened here? The queen on the pole didn't work the pole that well this week. Honestly I prefered you going for the non hyper realistic model, I think it worked better, now she just look like your average Jane (not the winner tho hahaha) The AI made you look like you're just floating on top of the horse, the left heel is totally different to the right one, the one with the pink bottom is literally just floating. The dress is very clumped and looks a bit messy. I do enjoy the looking back at the camera, but her chin should be higher so we don't completly lose her neck. Thiii - This is what I mean about necks, give me neck for days without it being weird, the face is very strong. The rest is very boring, just an average dress with an average pose with an average background. Seong - Am I being unbiased cause I just find him super hot? Maybe. But that's how ANTM actually was when they included male models tbh. I find this very unique. The posing on the bottom of the carrousel without being on top of the horse or interacting with them, but having them in the background is very smart unless I read something that you actually had to (which I think I didn't). The outfit is perfect, super original, going for another hat that completes the outfit perfectly. Love the accessories. With this being said, there were some misses but most were either safe or good, much better than I expected. Ranking #01 1. Dailyicon 2. Seong 3. RobbieRiot 4. Poof 5. Boaslady 6. Torimarie 7. Hi, here to give my opinions on the photos for #DNTM3. Did anyone ask for them? NO! Will they be helpful? MAYBE! Will I be an asshole? NO! unless you pay me. Am I still going to do this? Sure...we are just having fun! Since there are a lot of models, I am going to keep it somewhat short (Okay I tried) cause most attention spans are short anyway. So I will rate you on the prompt, say a few things, and tell you whether I will ride your carousel (if you know what I mean, because I don't). https://kovaze.com/group_thread/163 I even have a cute rating scale. Met The Prompt: ✅ Mostly Met the Prompt: 🟨 I Questioned Your Choices: ❓ Wrong Do Not Pass Go and Do Not Collect 200 Koinz: ❌ Prompt: Carousel: Looking for high-fashion editorial on a luxurious carousel. Combines glamour, creativity, and strong fashion poses in a dreamy atmosphere. RobbieRiot: Glamour: ✅ Creative: ✅ Pose: ❓ Dreamy: 🟨 The outfit is sickening. I have to see a doctor. I would never wear a big ass coat on that ride because it will suck me up and eat me and I don't want to be a victim on Final Destination. Love the choice of colors and the thing you sat on. You and the giraffe are like partners and sharing the space of the photo, not competing. Not a fan of the pose. You are sitting. What else can you do? I see the dream atmosphere, but you need more fog to captivate you. Overall, not bad for the first round, but I want more! 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: Yes (I know the music will be great spinning around) Muribolt Glamour: ✅ Creative: ✅ Pose: ✅ Dreamy: 🟨 I like this. This red is so good, and I love the dress's style. If I didn't love the pose, I wish you had done another so we could see more of it. The pose is great, you are being seductive, and all over the horse, it looks like the horse is smiling. Now, is this giving dreamy? Eh more seductive and hot. I want daydream, magical fantasy. If we removed the "dreamy" part this would be full 10's. 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: Yes (but I would be scared) Goomybear Glamour: ✅ Creative: ✅ Pose: 🟨 Dreamy: 🟨 I would like this much better if the lighting was better. I was having trouble seeing things and I think you were trying to give off an ambient atmosphere to help with the dreamy part, but I don't think the execution was correct. The pose is nice, airing out things which everyone needs to air out stuff, but I wish you were looking at us. Why are you looking over there? The ride goes round and round; you don't need to check to see if it is going the right direction. Look at us, make things dreamy and shit. The outfit is nice, I'm mix on the feathers, but I don't hate it. 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: No because I already tripped and fell because I couldn't see and the ambulance had to take me away to give me stiches on my head. You will be getting my medical bill. SexyTex Glamor: 🟨 Creative: ✅ Pose: 🟨 Dreamy: ✅ Why do you look like Sabrina Carpenter in black hair? That wasn't you in the promo pictures? EXPLAIN! The outfit is nice and sparkly. It fits the vibes of the photo...but it is just a corset... The pose is good but the one leg that is drooping...what is wrong with it? It could be doing something besides being dragged along. I do love the atmosphere your photo brings. Very dreamy with the hazy/blur effect. This gives me daydream vibes of saying "hey baby, let's do adult things like drive a car and taxes" and then I wake up from my daydream because the waitress from Chili's is asking me what sauce I want for my Triple Dippers. 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: Yes, it seems pretty chill. Sam Glamor: ❓ Creative: ❓ Pose: 🟨 Dreamy: ❌ This outfit feels out of place. I could Photoshop it to show someone swinging, or maybe something carnival/circus, but in this aesthetic. Not that much in the background, and nothing dreamy is going on. Maybe the model. I do like the pose. It stands out (in good ways, I promise). Like, if you had the background of the ride spinning really fast, that would have been cool. The execution was a huge miss. I think I heard there were other versions, but things happen, but this is not American Idol, where sad stories (hopefully yours wasn't) win over talent. Mainly the details matter. 🎠Ride Your Ride: No, because I don't think this is your ride. Dailyicon Glamour: ✅ Creative: ✅ Pose: ✅ Dreamy: ✅ We have a story here! It is giving hello there (insert name here), come ride with me. Take my hand. I love the outfit. You probably will get snatched by the ride because of the cape, but that is your hospital bill, not mine and why don't you have a shirt??? well maybe if I had a body like that I would flaunt it around. Out of the variations of this style of background, I think this was a good execution in creativity, and I like this pose too. I would call out for not looking at the camera, but from a quick glance it looks like you are cheating front PLUS the way the photo is taken allows that illusion to happen so good job on that BUT one of you eyes is a bit wonky like she didn't feel like participating...so just be aware of that. Good job. 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: No, because I feel like your cape will caught on the ride and you will get injured and I don't want to have to wait 5 hours dealing with the first responders and everything when I could be at home watching my shows. Camell22 Glamour: 🟨 Creative: 🟨 Pose: 🟨 Dream: 🟨 Safe. I'm not giving you just that. I think this is fine. The outfit could be better because the pose kind of closes it off, so we can't see its full potential. It seems that you were going with a natural photo type of shot, which I like, but still, some execution things need to be worked on. The vibes are a bit eh especially since I am seeing this background a lot from others and this one doesn't stand out the most. The pose is fine, but you look very bored. I think you were trying for dreamy, but it wasn't executed right...maybe you were trying for "I'm thinking about cheese," but I was getting bored vibes. You have elements for a good photo, just need to be enhanced on those little things. 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: No, you seem bored so why am I wasting my carnival tickets on that? I'm playing skeeball. Bosslady: Glamour: ✅ Creative: ✅ Pose: ✅ Dreamy: 🟨 Love this confident and striking pose. I love the choice of not riding the ride and being on the platform instead. Part of me wished you had shown a bit more of the horse to balance with to get an idea of the atmosphere/background, but the horse kinda looking bare, so maybe blocking it was the best choice. The outfit looks stunning on you and the lighting makes you look radiant! Wished you had more smoke/fog around you (maybe on the platform) to get that dreamy goddess vibe (similar to what I said to Robby). Put us in this state of dreaming about enhancing your beauty (well that is what I think dreamy means to me). Also I love the hair! 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: Sure! Be fun! Tayvie: Glamour: ✅ Creative: ✅ Pose: 🟨 Dreamy: ✅ Nice, I love the outfit, especially the chain-mail drapy tingly whatever you call it on your body. I would have fun playing with that (the fabric, not your body... your body is very nice, but we would have to go to dinner first, then go to the park, see how the vibes are, and save a cat in a tree). Your style and how the photo is presented give a very welcome welcome to my ride, and I like that. Very inviting but mysterious, like what is your secret? Not a full fan of the pose because the way your leg is, I just think it is a bit awkward unless you are inviting me to ride on your leg for the ride (this whole critique is just me falling in love, this is so embarrassing for me). I do appreciate the detail of the pedal under your foot, but honestly, the more that I look at this, I am kinda liking it. It is warming up to me (like our love...OMG who said that??) 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: No because I have to be professional, but I will be in my trailer in 15 mins. The password is AAAAAAAAA Lewis: Glamor: ✅ Creative: 🟨 Pose: ❓ Dreamy: ❌ This is a puzzle. We have the pieces, but the pieces aren't fitting. I like the look. Giving fairy glamour realness to me. I do love the atmosphere of the ride, moving and spinning (Sam, this is something yours could have been on, idk if you are reading this, but marking this). But we lose some focus in the front, and the lighting is a bit of an issue. I think the background is wonderful, but the foreground needed that touch-up. The pose confuses me because it looks like you are floating in the air. I see you are holding onto the pole, but it feels off and then your other arm looks like a pool noodle with the position/you were supposed to hold something, but it got yeeted from the ride. I think this pose would be a lot stronger if you were standing on the horse to give the right leg (the straight one) more power and the other one more purpose, and then we would figure out what to do with the other arm. The face though no notes. I love it. Is the photo dreamy? I don't see it. I get spinny, and when I get spinny, I get pukey, and I don't think my puking is dreamy at all. Overall, good elements, just execution was a bit flat 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: No, too fast, and I might get pukey and I don't like that. Hare Glamour: ✅ Creative: 🟨 Pose: 🟨 Dreamy: ❓ This is a good photo. I like the outfit and the body accessories. Like if you are going to show the body, add some extra stuff, especially for a theme for this If it was like beach or something, then maybe something different. I do find that you and the rest of the image are out of place. You are very glamorous, and everything else is giving small-town vibes. We just finally got enough money for a real Christmas tree. It is good to do something different and stand out in the beat of your own drum (don't know if you decided on that, but just basing on your image), but you want to stand out for good reasons. Now, if you were glamorous in a more city-life outfit, I think that would be better, but you stick out like a sore thumb. Now is this dreamy...I don't know. I am not in an illusion. 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: No, because that town will call us slurs if we rode together and I am not in the mood for that. torimarie Glamour: ✅ Creative: 🟨 Pose: ✅ Dreamy: 🟨 I like this. The outfit is nice, and the colors are a nice blend with the horse, which is a nice touch. I think the lighting could be a bit better, the captivate you more. I think maybe some showgirl lighting, which usually can be on the seductive side, but I think with your outfit, it might work out better, but either way, more lighting on you. The pose is good, and I think it works because of the outfit, so great job on that, because sometimes the outfit looks bad because of a pose and vice versa, but you found the perfect blend. I wish there were a bit more going on, but overall, this is a nice photo, and hopefully the momentum will continue. 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: Yes, because honestly, that outfit looks comfortable Tisha Glamour: ✅ Creative: ✅ Pose: ✅ Dreamy: 🟨 This is a nice photo. I love the outfit. Sparkle sparkle, gliz and glam, the only other word I can think of is ham. The pose screams, "I am having fun," but your face tells me otherwise. Like, are you dead or alive? This must be what pretty girls deal with. This is a story that I hope continues to develop this season. Also why are you kneeing the horse? What did that little shit say to you??? People might think "Robin, you are questioning Tisha a lot on the pose, but you gave her a green checkmark. Did Tisha threaten you?" No! *sweats* I just love a good story and it is different. I can't be curious???? I think you could have added more to the overall scenery of the photo because I am not getting the full dreamy experience, but overall, good job! 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: No, because I am not in the mood to fight with the animals. They will kick my ass. Not a joke, a fact. honey Glamor: ✅ Creative: ✅ Pose: ✅ Dreamy: ✅ Oooo, honey, I love this. This looks fun, something in a music video, maybe, and I love how the horse matches your outfit in the color scheme. The outfit is nice, and I like how it drapes on your body. The way you are posed looks like you took a break from the fun to do a quick pic, and then you went back to whatever was happening. I love being up and the other being straight. Every part has a purpose and not just there chilling. Your face looks great and I can sense the dreamy haze in it. I think it is a different version than the other ones but I still like it. 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: Yes. I want to go there. Poof Glamor: ✅ Creative: ✅ Pose: ✅ Dreamy: ✅ Good job with this. Another pose where you aren't on the ride piece but just on the ride and it worked well. The way you are positioned is giving a '70s disco fever dance style (with your pants giving similarish vibes, but the shoes isn't). Your atmosphere is similar to honey's. Makes me think both of you are on the side ride, just taking photos at different spots. The lighting is nice and the way you look at the camera does provide a dreamy vibe. You probably just told someone this, "Hey, you wanna come spin on the ride?" or something people say (my ideal of flirting is "I paid the power bill already"). Good job! 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: No, cause like I think a lot of people are already in line and I'm already tired waiting so I just got snacks and fell asleep. Glitter Glamor: 🟨 Creative: ✅ Pose: ✅ Dreamy: ❓ Hot take (idk if this is, but if people disagree, then it is) I really like this. It is so different, but it gives natural, raw vibes. I wish this were on a Polaroid or something. It is like a movie scene, and you are looking at your lover, and they take a photo of you (they are right behind you, of course) in this beautiful love montage, and then BOOM, they died because movies hate love and this is the movie where you decide to become the CEO of the company you work at (think of Working Girl meets Pretty Woman meets Pretty Little Liars with a dash of Secret Life of American Teenage Season 1). The only concern I have is what is underneath your dress? Is that a jean skort or something???? Are you going into the Amish or that religion where they have the thick, dry hair and a jean skirt that goes to their ankles? That did throw things off for me. Those details matter. Besides that, everything else I really like :) 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: No, because idk what is going on there and this might actually be a new season of American Horror Story and I ain't touching that shit. Thiii Glamor: ✅ Creative: 🟨 Pose: 🟨 Dreamy: 🟨 I think this is a perfectly fine photo, but I think it needs a bit more pizazz (spelling) on it. I like the outfit, and the lighting does a good job of highlighting the copper/gold tones of it. Everything else is kind of okay, but nothing that bad, where it is like burn this photo and change your name to something else. The pose is okay, but I think you can do better. It could be the angle the photo was taken, but I do love the hair in the wind but I don't know if the background matches the speed of the hair of how it is flowing. I think maybe having some the hair already falling down would have helped. Besides that, good job. 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: Sure Seong Glamor: ✅ Creative: ✅ Pose: 🟨 Dreamy: ✅ Hi hello, my name is Nico Robin and I'm avail... I mean this is a nice photo. The outfit looks good, even though I wish the photo had been taken from a slightly different angle so we could get a better sense of it, especially the details. I do like the pose, especially since it seems you have the boot/shoe on the lens, as if you're pushing it away. If the way the photo was taken was on a different angle, I think th was would have been better (personally), but the overall look of the photo is nice because it is giving ("hey come on giddy up on the horsey and yippy" idk what else cowboys say, I just know Cowboy Carter from Beyonce). The background isn't the most dreamiest, but the way you have presented yourself would make a lot of people swoon. Like, I'm so into country right now. Sing about your tractors, beer, and haybelles or whatever. 🎠Ride Your Ride🎠: We already know that answer. If none of this makes sense, that's okay, my input doesn't matter, I lost and got 10th place, so I'm just a loser face. I am just glad to be here :) 🌟AWARDS 🌟 Most Glamour: Muri Most Creative: Glitter Fav Pose: Honey Most Dreamy: Seong & SexyTex (my awards, I can break my own rules for fake wins) Final Rankings: (From everything overall. Welcome to my series where alongside the season of DNTM3, I’ll show you my alternate photo and you, Kovaze will decide if I should’ve SWITCHED to the alternate, or stay with the original. The theme for the first photoshoot was an editorial, fashion, carousel. Here is the original. Here is the alternate. What do we think Kovaze? Should I have swapped, or just stay to the original? #DNTM3

DNTM Cycle 3 Episode 1 Critiques

Mochalatte      ❤ 79    ▲12

I adored this photoshoot and wanted to give my thoughts on all of the photos. The backdrop being a carousel really makes everything look so cohesive and organized. More concepts like this!! dimitra #dntm3 RobbieRiot Critique: I'm obsessed with the styling here, you look really powerful and majestic. You have the body and you know how to work it. The legs crossed with the arm stretched is sexy af. My only problem is.....did she come to set in a bad mood? It's looking really dead in the face, as if she's pissed off with the photographer or is running on 3 hours of sleep. Make sure to emote through the face luvvy. Overall, this is one of my favorites. 8.7/10 muribolt Critique: This is all around stunning I have to say. You serve sex on a platter, but you're gonna need to watch the hooch. It works here, but it has potential to get a little x rated in the future. The mug is locked in and could bring men to their knees, the body bend is so severe. Even the horse knows she's carrying the baddest bitch on board. No further notes miss muribolt. 10/10 goomybear Critique: This shot is very wide-angled and it makes it a little difficult to comprehend. Plus we know black is a harsh color and can sometimes make it hard to see detail. The face is naturally strong, but I don't feel like you're aware of the camera here. It almost looks like someone on-set was trying to give you a pep talk and you got caught in am semi-unflattering candid moment. I do see a lot of potential here, but it's not the strongest shot. Remember, photo quality itself matters too! 6.4/10 sexytex Critique: LOL I love this you can tell she has tons of personality alongside being a baddie. This girl could do high fashion or catalogue and I think that versatility is dangerous. She looks phenomenal, I really don't have anything bad to say. 10/10 Sam Critique: LMFAOOOOOOO SAM???? I think your biggest challenge here is going to be taking your model more seriously. I mean...this is a bit too comedic for a model shoot. The body angle is awkward and stiff, I don't get why he's laying across the horse like a plank at all. it looks unnatural and like he was trying to be goofy for his friends. I can't tell if he's laying on the horse or floating in mid-air. It's a human flag pole. HOWEVER, the face was locked in and this man is sexy af! There's potential and I appreciate your willingness to step outside the box a bit. I'd like to see more. Hope you stay! 5.5/10 dailyicon Critique: I really am not a fan of the wet look, especially when the shoot does not call for it. I mean...he's riding a carousel with the wind blowing, why would he be dripping in sweat? This is really great though, don't get it twisted. I mean you nailed the pose, it looks like he's Prince Charming and he has 3 ladies swooning over him in the waiting line and he's longing for one of them. Another observation, the wonky eye. I understand he may be winking, but I don't feel like that type of playfulness works well in a still moment. It might be cute irl in motion, but in a photo it reads as wonky and cheesy. Keep it cleaner and you'll be fine. 8.5/10 camell22 Critique: First thing I notice is...it's a little low energy and lacks that POP BANG POW that transitions a photo from good to great. I mean...it's not a bad photo. it's just boring. He comes across bored or like he's dissociating. Also THE NECK. You cannot lose the neck, especially in a shot like this where you aren't contorting or doing anything unnatural. It will boost your confidence a ton and you will appear more sure of yourself if you fix the posture and stretch yourself. I'm not really seeing much personality either. We can do better, but it's not the worst. Depends what the judges are looking for. 6/10 bosslady Critique: Bosslady.....you look amazing! It is a striking photo. If I hadn't known any better, I'd think you had already been modeling for a decade. I think when it comes to the makeover and maybe you can fix this on your own....we need to work on the age factor. She's clearly an older woman and I worry about her expiration date in the industry. I think chopping her hair is the right way. The face is so strong already, the hair does not need to overpower it. Great job otherwise! 9.5/10 tayvie Critique: I think of all the men. you're the one who really understood the assignment. It's a polished shot, the angle is flattering and interesting, he looks like a badass. HOWEVER, please do not forget to smize. The eyes are dead and it's taking the photo in a more gloomy/awkward direction. And with the neck, tilting your chin up I think would have cemented this as top of the pack. It's still really good!! 8.8/10 lewis Critique: I'm confused. It's a really, really odd shot. The face is striking and I'm impressed that while spinning so fast, you were able to keep the face under control. The face is impeccable. The concern here is the body positioning I think. the right hand is unnecessarily limp as if he's trying to signal that he's gay. Babe, we already knew that. You don't need to single, joey jay. I don't understand why he's flying, does he have wings? Be sure in the photo everything is present a clear, so we can understand the storyline if there is one. This is not the worst by any means! 7/10 hare Critique: I'm not compelled by this picture much, but I can acknowledge it's strong. Especially in the face. He's a very pretty boy, but I think we need to work on the stiffness and on finding a way to capture that WOW factor. Right now it's not giving me much to remember. How can you separate yourself from the competition? 6.8/10 torimarie Critique: My main problem looking at this photo is the pose is very "in your face". You don't want your model to come across staged and unnatural. I really wish the hand was off the hip and the other hand was on the pole. The leg is PERFECTION, the face is killer. Neck is LOOOONGGGG bitch you shoulda been riding a giraffe too!! This is a good photo, you just need your movements to flow more buttery. 8/10 tisha Critique: Tisha this blew me away and has been living in my rent free since it was posted. The windography is working in your favor, the bend back with the leg up was a WOW moment. It almost looks like you're galloping with the horse. Looking at the picture just energizes you, it makes you want to conquer the world. Also to the boys, do you see how Tisha stuck her arm out here but was simultaneously still aware of the camera and you can tell the arm has a purpose in and of itself as opposed to her reaching out to grab someone in the audience. it's like she's dancing on the horse, feeling the wind in her hair. Gorgeous job Tisha. 10/10 honey Critique: I really really like this honey. It took me a moment, but once it clicked I realized it's brilliance. She's a total bombshell, everything is on point from the hair to the face to the leg to the pointed toe. Great job! 10/10 poof Critique: This is fabulous!! BY FAR the best male shot of the night. It just works. The aesthetic is there, the foot movement is interesting, the way he's leaning takes my breath away. Again, I really have nothing bad to say. 10/10 glitter Critique: I'm dying irl this is a very realist approach. I get it because this is how I interpreted the competition on my first photoshoot. I think compared to some of the other girls, it's lackluster. She looks kinda miserable and I don't think she's working her angles. She could have shifted a bit towards the right to reveal more of the dress and to give more body. I think it looks pedestrian, but still not necessarily the worst. I wanna see what you're made of, and maybe give this girl next door some more OOMPH in her makeover. 5.8/10 thiii Critique: Another very polished photo. This to me is one of the best neck up shots of the night. The posture is phenomenal, the hair is doing exactly what it needs to do, and even though the hand is on her hip, it comes across more natural and was so subtle I almost didn't catch it. Still not highly recommended, but it works. It's so strong of a picture, I think you may be the dark horse of the season. 9.3/10 seong Critique: Lastly Mr Seong. HOLY SHIT *claps* This is such a gorgeous man. It's fabulous, he looks like he is the ringleader of a cowboy motorcycle gang and is at the carnival to smoke a lot of pot and intimidate everyone. Also like he may or may not have a gun is his jacket ready to fuck up someone who owes him money. It's just a striking photo, the vibe is there, he exudes swag. 10/10 No promises I will do this every photoshoot, but I was inspired here. This would be my callout order: 1. Tisha 2. Muribolt 3. Poof 4. Seong 5. SexyTex 6. Honey 7. Thiii 8. BossLady 9. RobbieRiot 10. Tayvie 11. DailyIcon 12. Torimarie 13. Lewis 14. Hare 15. Goomybear 16. Glitter 17. Sam

Wanted to give some EXCLUSIVE alternative photos for #DNTM3 for this first photoshoot. Here was the actual photo decided to go with, really liked the overall atmosphere and outfit so went with it: Although I loved the overall scene of it, I thought I could do more and I kinda looked EXTREMELY HIGH: I decided not to go down this route as I wanted to keep it classy for the viewers at home: This was a very very early draft of the pic, but decided now this is the real deal and I wanted to try to spice up the picture rather than going basic: Would love to hear any construstive feedback, positive or negative, about any photos if yall would like! First, this is just to see how my thoughts match up with the judges. It is nice seeing the different opinions and perspectives take place in this game because some of the things that I felt were negatives, some judges felt were positives, but I understand their reasoning/perspective. This also shows that my opinion is just a silly opinion and holds no weight on the actual game since I am not an official judge BUT I have experience the competition before and outside input can be daunting, so I try to find some good in everything cause you all are putting yourself out there for this fun game that Dimitra has created. At the end of the day you decide what you think is best for on your modeling journey. Okay that was fun, now lets do stats cause I love stats. ================================================== Episode 1 Title: The Girl with the Jean Butt Skirt #DNTM3 ================================================== Official Rankings Next to What I Gave Them: https://kovaze.com/blog/123593 (My feedback) 1st: Robbie (Gave them 13th, off by 12 placements) ❌ 2nd: Daily (Gave them 4th, off by 2 placements) ❌ 3rd: Honey (Gave them 1st, off by 2 placements) ❌ 4th: Bosslady (Gave them 7th, off by 3 placements) ❌ 5th: Poof (Gave them 3rd, off by 2 placements) ❌ 6th: Thiii (Gave them 14th, off by 8 placements) ❌ 7th: Muri (Gave them 5th, off by 2 placements) ❌ 8th: Seong (Gave them 2nd, off by 6 placements) ❌ 9th: Tisha (Gave them 8th, off by 1 placement) ❌ 10th: Goomybear (Gave them 11th, off by 1 placement) ❌ 11th: Tori (Gave them 10th, off by 1 placement) ❌ 12th: Sexy (Gave them 9th, off by 3 placements) ❌ 13th: Tayvie (Gave them 6th, off by 7 placements) ❌ 14th: Lewis (Gave them 17th, off by 3 placements) ❌ 15th: Camel (Gave them 15th, CORRECT) ✅ 16th: Sam (Gave them 18th, off by 2 placements) ❌ 17th: Hare (Gave them 16th, off by 1 placement) ❌ 18th: Glitter (Gave them 12th, off by 6 placements) ❌ 1/18 Placements Correct Biggest Difference: Robbie (12 Placements from 13th to 1st) Close But No Cigar: Tisha, Tori, Goomybear, & Hare (All by 1 Placement) ================================================== Sendoff to Glitter: Personally, I liked the vibes of your photo, but I do realize this is a competition about high fashion and I got lost in the nostalgia of the early 2010's. In another competition, I can see this doing well (minus the other errors). I also hope that Jean Butt Skirt becomes the new fashion trend because honestly going out on that is much better than going out because of an extra finger or something typical in an AI photo. I hope you get your redemption one day because you will have a great arc. I send you out with a song. "Breathe in breathe out You keep me alive You are the fire burning inside of me You are my passion for life" Looking forward to the next round.
