We're back at it with the release notes, given we have some big updates planned for the coming weeks. This release will focus on accessibility and improving the health of the existing features. Let's get to it! 𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗘 - The Vending Machine can now be spun for 400 Koinz - Designer Payout decreased to 10 Koinz since we're expecting a lot more spins - the aim is to keep the payouts the same as before for designers. We'll keep an eye on this for the next week and adjust if necessary. 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘 - Colorblind mode for competitions can now be toggled in Your Settings > Accessibility - These are currently set up to work with Match Three and Chain Pop - For those who are colorblind, please let us know your feedback on how we can improve this feature further! 𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 - Food search success rate increased from 50% to 66% 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗤𝗨𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 - Games now prioritise competitions that haven't been picked yet. - For example, if you have a Lucky Drop round, you shouldn't see it again unless all other competitions were played. - This change does not affect Royale 𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗘 𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗦 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗦 🟢 Opportunities - Money bonus increased from $30 to $40 🟢 Dimitra's Stilettos - Walk reward increased from $15 to $18 🔴 Headstart - Bonus per player in the game no longer counts you and your teammate Let us know what you want to see next!

Good morning / afternoon / night, Kovazia The day brings with it 3 new competitions to the roster! 🏴‍☠️ Treasure Hunt: Find the hidden treasure dug somewhere in the sand! Each guess will reveal how far away the treasure is. 🎈 Balloons: Pop the balloons from largest to smallest as fast as you can! 🌊 Water Tank: Fill your tank with water as much as you can without going over the line! You must predict where your water level is at, and then click to stop. The game is played in 8 rounds. Also, we know you've missed her, please welcome back 🏋️‍♂️ Weightlifting! We're also rotating out Flags, Words and Guitar for now to give these minigames a chance to shine, and even out the playing field for you all. Whilst the moderation team did an excellent job and their efforts are greatly appreciated, I stand firm in my belief that the community should not be moderated by its peers, because it promotes paranoia and distrust within the community. For that reason, I am acquiring external moderators that do not have a history within this community. I will also be returning as the lead moderator. Kovaze launched late last year, and it is a platform where reality TV lovers can compete against each other in online games inspired by your favourite reality TV shows! 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐈 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞? By clicking on "Games" in your navigation, you will see all the possible games you can play on Kovaze. As a new user, You're able to join 'Frenzy', which is a fast paced Big Brother inspired game mode! Once the game is over, the prizes will be distributed, and you will begin to unlock more games, such as Arena (Inspired by The Challenge, with multiple game mode and minigames to participate in), Outcasted (Survivor Inspired, lasts 9 days, taken more seriously) and more! 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭? A game starts once enough players have joined depending on the type of game. This is usually 11-13 people. Arena Updates: - Players can now vote on a gamemode pre-game. The arena gods will select one random person, and their choice will become the gamemode. - New gamemode added: Golden Star 🌟: The winner of each round will be able to save one of the bottom 3 from the arena. Outcasted Updates: - Water hunting increased from 20 water to 45 - Searching for water duration increased from 4 hours to 6 hours - Searching for Food/Idols duration decreased from 1 hour to 20 minutes Let us know what you think!

The feedback for the first test run was already good, but the feedback for this version of the game has been overwhelmingly positive. It’s always a good sign when early boots are saying they feel like the game is perfect, because that rarely ever happens. We’ve heard your feedback and will be applying the final touches to make the game perfect :) Now my question to you is: how would you like enrolment to work? The reaping was fun, but it’s not something we can sustain forever. Enrolment will have to be automated - but would you prefer it to be a weekly game, or enrolling every time the current game finishes? What about the cast size? We want to keep the game feeling special, but we also want it to be accessible. Let us know what your thoughts are! As for Labyrinth: with every comp we add, the first few days are a trial run to gather general thoughts and find all the bugs there are to find. We feel like we have all the feedback we need, so we’ll be disabling it while we work on that. There is also a version of Maze that works exactly like the old version, but allows phone users to tap to move. We might enable this comp for a trial run if it passes internal testing, but this is still up in the air. The next month will be heavily focused on polishing existing features, such as looking into minigame bugs (I’m looking at you, Shapes!) and whatnot. While we will have some new additional features, we’ll also be saying goodbye to Boutiques. The reason for this is explained in the comments of this blog: https://kovaze.com/blog/70033 . Boutique renewal will be disabled sometime this month, with the feature officially removed once the last boutique’s lights go out. P.S… Practice Comps and Auctions are on our radar 🙂

In addition to everything else coming out this month, we want to automate celebrities into a weekly/bi-weekly game. We'll still have the larger Kovaze ORGs (such as the Traitors we had planned for Celebrities 7), but we've decided to call that something else. For now, Celebrities will turn to an automatic game. Hi all, exciting things are happening this week on Kovaze. 𝗨𝗽𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝗽 The Upgrade Shop is now live where you can purchase upgrades for your accounts! More upgrades will be coming in the future. We've heard some of the feedback on the prices of the current upgrades, but we want account upgrades to be a gradual and rewarding process. For now, we want upgrades to remain valuable. 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 A major Outcasted update will go live in 32 hours. The update will apply to all active games but should not be too distruptive to the existing gameplay. For those in an Outcasted, consider this a twist, and use this time to adjust your strategies accordingly. - Idols (and future advantages) will now be hidden inside of a map with 64 locations. - 8 of those locations will be the beach, where you can fish for food for your tribe. - There will be a water well to collect water for your tribe. Water will give you energy to search for idols and hunt for food. - Each game will have its own weather that changes throughout the day. The weather will range from 0 to 44 Celsius (or 32 to 111 Farenheit). - Hotter weather means you will have to drink more water! - When fishing, you are not always guaranteed a catch. The game will only announce successful catches. The game will not announce if you actually went fishing or if you went to search for an idol instead. - A hungry tribe will lose tribe morale, reducing their competition scores. The idea: we want Outcasted to feel like the real show, and that's exactly what we're hoping with this update. You will have to work with your tribe to collect enough food to ensure your tribe stays healthy, but if your tribemates are secretly hunting for idols when they should be fishing, your tribe will inevitably become hungrier and weaker. Other changes (this will not affect existing games): - Game size increased from 16 to 18 to allow for 3-tribe games. The Outcasted Update will be explained in more detail on the day, and we'll be here to answer any questions you may have! (Note: Some of the changes listed here may be tentative). 𝗥𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲 Royale will launch on the 25th of January (in 6 days). As this game is very large, we are doing a *soft* launch so we can assess the game in a low-risk environment. This will mean that we will be limiting the cast size for the first game, selected by a public draw (a reaping? 😱). The game shouldn't take long to finish though, and we'll open it up to the public immediately afterwards. For those not selected, you'll be able to watch the game and place your bets! More on this soon. 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝟳 With everything coming out this week, we're pushing sign-ups back by a week or two to not overwhelm everyone. As you may have heard, the theme for this season will be Traitors Inspired. The public will be heavily involved in this season, and will help our cast catch the traitors by banishing one of their sacrificial offerings! 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 The next competition to update will be Lucky Drop. We're aiming to make the game more fun and interactive by adding some pinball style flippers that you can control which will give you a bit of agency in the game. We've also been made aware of the Guitar bug with notes not registering on Mobile, and after some investigation, it seems this is an issue with iPhones preventing you from tapping 5 spots at once, however it seems you can fix it by enabling it on your phone's settings. We'll investigate this more and look into it, and if you have an iPhone feel free to join the investigation! 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 We’ve recently been made aware of new websites launching that attempt to replicate the reality-game concept using AI web building tools. We have not been able to verify the safety and security of these platforms, and ask that you do not mention them on Kovaze. Remember to be diligent when signing up to any website, ensuring the proper practices are implemented to protect you and your data. Kovaze's codebase consists of over 150,000 lines of code, and a fully self-managed virtual server with DDOS protection and Scraper Bot prevention. AI cannot reproduce the level of cyber security required to protect you from the ever evolving threat of hackers. Remember to trust and support real Computer Scientists!
