#DNTM3 Welcome back to today's Panel Before Dark episode, where I put contestants’ portfolios under the spotlight. Before we begin, I got another opportunity to sit down with recently eliminated contestant Glitter == Q: Do you feel like your elmination was justified? (if not who do you think should've been eliminated in your place?) Glitter: My elimination was totally justifiable; however, I would still argue Hare should have left before me. We have already seen the best we are gonna get from him. I showed progress from my audition shoot to my first photoshoot. Still ton of work to be done but headed in the right direction and would have bloom given the time! Q: Who would you lke to see win the competition? Glitter: I am rooting for ToriMarie to win! People mayyyy not know but we are sisters :) it’ll be ironic for me to be first boot as they take the crown. Their latest photoshoot was absolutely stunning. I think they nailed looking JUICY and EDITORIAL. It was chic darling. I’m excited to see what else they have in store along with the rest of the girls! =================================== - The time has come to review the contestants' first official submissions! (Disclaimer: We are not official judges. Please don’t take our critiques personally, our goal is to offer helpful feedback, constructive criticism, and tips that can support your growth <3) Photo Theme: Fruit Art ROBBIERIOT Dusa: Living for you repping rambutan, a delicious fruit indeed! Another goood photo from you, youre establishing your place in the competition. I do wish your set was a bit more creative. Generating the fruit around you in a black void doesnt excite me. Id also love to see you wear something else other than a dress next time. The dress itself is good, you are smart for choosing a fruit that allowed you to add the hairy exterior and that elevated the look a lot. Love the rambutan earrings detail. Good submission this week. MURIBOLT Dusa: A Grecian inspired shoot using grapes as your chosen fruit feels a little uninspired to me tbh. I do like the bodice portion of the dress, but theres too much going on and looks too chaotic for me personally. We can barely see the dress, and from what I can see it looks too much like a prom dress. By no means this is a bad photo, but a little bit more cleaning up and polishing wouldve done wonders. GOOMYBEAR Dusa: Now this I can see in a GQ magazine. You didnt take the fruit assignment literal and randomly generated fruits all over your photo, you had a vision and it worked. Others might say this isnt giving fruit, but the challenge was to choose a fruit and create a look inspired by said chosen fruit. You did the challenge the right way. Love the green shirt underneath the blazer, and the cut on that leg gives the whole look some spice. My only critique is that I wish you were a bit closer to the camera. SEXYTEX Dusa: This is another case of going the obvious route. I wish there was a bit more creativity with the whole look. The dress itself is cute and looks good on your model. However, one side of the skrt doesnt match the detailing on the other. Im not sure if that was intentional, but you need to be careful. I cannot see this on the cover of a magazine. You played too safe and im a disappointed. SAM Dusa: Interesting shot. Same like last week, almooost there for me. I see the vision, but unfortunately it didnt come to fruition (pun), Definitely more of the creative set ive seen thus far. The biggest problem I have with you this episode is that your face is tooo turned away ! I love this outfit soooo much, but with the face being turned too much to the side, and the pose looking a bit awkward I had to dock some points. DAILYICON Dusa: I'm not a fan of any Dimitra references on photos it just gves a little desperate and cheesy. I see that the AI messed up the quality of your outfit and I know how frustrating that is. The fur jacket is overdoing it for me. I think if you had chosen a different fabric, you may have been able to clean up the look. My advice would be going on grok and telling the AI to fix the texture. Otherwise your outfit fine and simple, but not amazing. CAMELL22 Dusa: I dont wanna sound homophobc (im gay), but this looks too gay. your outfit is already extremely feminine, you couldve contrasted that by flexing your biceps without tiptoeing like a ballerina. I wish you couldve done something different with your hair because the un-styled look is so out of place. Now for the outfit... love ! simple, but the construction eatsss. The fabric almost looks like peeled peach skin, so good! BOSSLADY Dusa: Yes. Powerful. Love the pose and set obviously. However, I needed more couture from you. I can see this on a magazine sure, but not a fashion magazine. This almost looks like a time's magazine shot to me, or a portfolio to a woman that runs a lemon farm. Some ways of fixing that illusion was to change your pose. Stand not sit. It might just be me, but that was my only critique. Great photo. TAYVIE Dusa: Unfortunately, I do not like this photo. This is giving woodland creature than a high fasion model on the cover of Vogue. Firstly, the set is unexplainable to me? The background makes you look like youre out in outer space. And those SHOEEEEEES... no pls no. The outft wouldve been fine, but you put on a coat made of grapes, which is giving lazy to me. LEWIS Dusa: wait.... I kinda live for this. I can tell you wanted to see your improvement this week and that you did 100%.I love that youre interacting with the substance on the floor, love the splatter and the facial expression. However, the outfit is too shadowed. The main goal was to showcase an outfit inspired by your chosen fruit, and Im unable to see half of what youre wearing. Love your necklace and the detailing near your hips. Just choose better poses next time. HARE Dusa: The pose does not work for me at all. Same advice above ^^ I need to see your outfit. That was the whole objective for this photoshoot. From what I can see, I probably wouldve liked it, but again I cant see half of it. Also im not quite sure where you are? you already had an opportunity to be photographed in a black void setting, dont do it again. Show us more creativity. TORIMARIE Dusa: Okay you proved me wrong this week. From the elbow up, its perfect. Looooooooove!!! Now this is what im talking about. The grapefruit top isnt actually grapefruit and you made that apparent by bejeweling the whole thing ! Then the hand crushing an actual grapefruit.... yesss mama. Obviously I would have loved to see the whole look and I did dock some points because of that, but from what I can see.... one of the best ones. TISHA Dusa: The lighting obviously is a problem. You should have chosen an entirely different colour scheme for your set. Matching red and black which is what the colour of your dress is makes your outfit forgettable. Love the gothic kind of vampire aesthetic you chose. Just make sure youre paying close attention to tiny details like lighting next time, thats all. HONEY Dusa: The model is gorge, cute fruit inspired outfit, clean, finesse and overall really good. I know by now that youre an established model. However, I need you to make it more high fashion and less Forever21. You have a ton of potential, play around more and take risks. Lots of people in this competition are improving little by little, make sure they dont get the opportunity to surpass you in quality. POOF Dusa: Safe for me. Nothing bad and nothing to rave about. I needed more creativity. THIII Dusa: The set is all wrong. Your dress is camouflaging with the real peaches, and for the photoshoot highlighting your look, thats a bad thing. Everything is too monochrome, we almost loose you. You do not want to be hidden like wheres waldo in your photos, you need to be the star. The outfit is great and im sad that you chose this set to display it. SEONG Dusa: I love you, but its a no for me. The set is amazing. The creativity is superior. However, you did not follow the prompt again. Youre balled up on the ground and I cannot see your outfit. I dont see this on a high fashion magazine. I can see it on a kpop album for sure. The outfit is uninspired and an after-thought. You clearly focused more on your set more than anything. Im dissapointed because I know you can do so much better than this. Dusa's Rankings: 1. Hello models, First of all I want to thank all the comments left on my last critiques, I like that everyone is seeing all the opinions and taking them into account as much as possible and how positive everyone reacted. Second of all, I'm really excited about this photoshoot, it seems like a fun photoshoot to do and watch. While I know the fruit had to be present in the photo, I'll be evaluating how much of the fruit I get of the fruits were removed. RobbieRiot - Honestly, I don't even know what this fruit is even seeing it. The pose is very simple, the face has very little to none expression. While the dress is cool, with the effect the photo has, it's too matchy and blends in with the fruits too much, nothing pops extremely. The lighting is the only good thing of the photo, it hits her skin beautifully. Don't get too comfy. dailyicon - I don't enjoy at all how the effect and lighting of this photo looks. It looks very messy, too blended in as well, making very difficult to see clearly any details. I do appreciate the leg position, it creates a very clean line, but that's about all clean the photo has. I see that the week1 faves are trying to rely on week1 scores, don't get too comfy. honey - I can tell the fruit you're going for right away even even if the watermelons weren't there, that's what I like the most about the picture. The pose vibe is simple but effective. While the jumpsuit is cute, it's missing high fashion. Everything in general is leaning more towards Instagram model than super model. Love the details on the background being wet as the watermelon. bosslady - Damn girl. You really out your out forward this week. The pose is soooo powerful, it radiates such high power and command. I like the use of lemons in the suit, it's actually a "pattern" I really like. This is how you rock a suit, keep and eye men. The face is exquisite. The necklace dropping in the middle of the tits is so fierce, but it's really close of taking your high fashion element out, careful with too much sex when unnecessary. I really enjoy the ambiance of the photo in general as well. Poof - Your face looks GOOOORGE, the lighting is hitting you right, and also in the body, but careful cause they are two different skin tones. If you take off the cherries I'm not sure I would actually give cherry, same happened with Daily, I think cherries are so basic that they give nothing really. Nothing too interesting to comment on, your face might save you this week. Thiii - Damn girl, you surely were hungry this week cause you ate this up hard. The texture of the dress being the texture of a peach is soooo smart, if you would take the peaches out of the picture and it would be so recognizable. You picked a great fruit for your hair, it blends so we'll with it, playing to your favour. The flower details are great. No notes. Keep this energy. muribolt - I'm just going to give up on trying to see your full face, I guess it's never happening. My least favorite grape picture. To feed yourself is a weird choice, it doesn't really go e luxurious as the grapes usually are, they usually are fed to you. The dress is cute but the leg position make you look 5ft tall, it's giving very short. Seong - Dad ❤️ This is such a risky take and personally I really enjoy it, peaches give soft and delicate and you really hit the nail with the vibe of the photo. Too bad the other peach one is very good cause if you would have done something a tiny bit more unique and captivated this vibe it would be a home run but I fear she did eat you up a little. Also, while I love your originality here, I'm going to need for you to give more supermodel, it's the main concept of the reality. Tisha - The best cherry photo for sure. Cherries here are usually this dark and they go very well with your skeleton aesthetic, we call them "picotas". I love how you made your face so shiny and switched it up from what we've seen before, also matching the vibe of the dress. The arms proportion are much better this week, while they still look a tiny bit not as equal, but also we can't tell, just keep a close eye on it. Would have loved for the backdrop to have something more, it's very simple while being effective, for Top17 is going to cut it but keep in mind on the future, I believe you have what it takes. Goomybear - I saw some of your competitors were hating a bit on the picture but I find this veeeery appealing to the eye. This is the best grape photo BY FAR. When I think of grape, I think of wine, I think of the Italian Tuscany and you delivered so fucking well. The outfit eats, the leg open with the your tattoos almost look like lace to me, looove, it gives elevated, it gives sexy without being obscene and it gives high fashion, which a lot of people are missing. The face is 10/10, he looks more masc than usual and while I won't fem shame, it hits hard, some of you should take notes on serving some face here. For me it's a contender for top photo but apparently people aren't enjoying it, but I think they aren't looking at it and going further with it. Torimarie - Is that pomegranate? The outfit looks a bit customy and not high fashion. The smashing of the fruit while crying the fruit liquid as well is very editorial. Why your other hand has no fingers makes it weird and very distracting, take away from the arm pose. Very safe in general. Sexytex - Hmm I'm not quite sure how I feel about this photo, I appreciate the original fruit idea and how if you take the dragonfruits out, the dress still reads as that but maybe a bit too customy as well. If the arms were straight, it would give a very strong line, refining the softness you're trying to give that the dragonfruits doesn't really represent. Both legs being bent while on your toes also doesn't do you any favors. Tayvie - Mid grape photo, not the most original, at least you went for green grapes, but the lines created are horrible. Both legs bent creating no clear lines and you add those shoes that makes the lines even less appealing. Body looks correct and while he his looking at the camera the face isn't telling me anything interesting, I do appreciate the eye makeup, subtle but effective. Lewis - Uuuuh I see you're really trying, this is your best photo so far for sure, as for Tisha's I like when cherries are more on the dark red side than. The splashing reminds me of the milk photoshoot from last season. Actions and face are resembling the same energy which I do like. It's ok the stronger side, but a little too predictable with the cherry choice. Camell22 - I love the softness that are you presenting to us, it's very on brand for your soft boy energy and very well executed. The lines created are very good but I do fear that the other 2 peach ones are better than yours. You also went for a velvet texture as Thiii but a little less well executed. Sam - At least you're original, I will give you that and once again while I appreciate it for swinging big, once again the execution is not there. The pose is messy, no clear lines. Your face is turned away losing all impact it could possible have. I have no idea what fruit this is but it seems like a tough and sweet fruit but it seems you're not emulating any of it. Once again I hope that you keep trying and swinging hard cause I know that it will hit, hopefully not before you leave. Hare - I hate ending in a double bad note. I told muribolt that her's was the worst grape but I fear you saved her on that. You picked an over picked fruit and decided to not even give us anything original. The pose is not flattering. The outfit is cool at least. No background to add to the photo makes it even more boring. I really enjoyed the theme, but I fear that 4 cherries, 4 grapes and 3 peaches is too on the nose. Guys please take more than 5 minutes to think of the theme and just stick to it, there's a ton of fruits that haven't been used and that just helps you not be compared between each other. The peach represents softness, vulnerability, and quiet sweetness. Its delicate skin suggests something tender and easily bruised, while its warm color brings a sense of innocence, intimacy, and gentle beauty. In this editorial, the peach becomes a symbol of sensitive masculinity — soft, emotional, and unguarded, yet still elegant and visually stunning. It is about showing fragility not as weakness, but as something precious, warm, and deeply human. #DNTM3
Hello everyone! Season 3 of DNTM has officially started and, as the lovely 4th runner-up from last season, I simply could NOT sit this one out and watch from the sidelines. This season, instead of competing for the Top Model title, I’ll be here sharing my thoughts, breaking down the fashion, and reviewing EVERY photoshoot of. the. season. Welcome to #DNTM3: Fashion Court — the place where every pose, frame, and fashion risk gets put under the spotlight. From breathtaking editorials, strong concepts, and unforgettable poses to questionable creative decisions and styling choices that probably sounded better in theory, nothing will go unnoticed. This blog is here to review, rank, critique, and celebrate the photos from Dimitra’s Next Top Model. Expect honest and unbiased opinions, dramatic callout orders, sharp fashion analysis, and absolutely no mercy for boring execution — all through the eyes of someone who knows how brutal this competition can be. Are you the type of model who delivers magazine-worthy moments? Or are you someone who poses like they just heard the photographer say “okay… one last shot” seventeen times? Will you bring drama inside the house or just serve valuable learning experiences instead? Either way, we’ll definitely be talking about it here. Let's get it started! This episode, the models were asked to step into a high fashion setting on a luxurious carousel filled with glowing lights and a dreamy atmosphere. The goal was to pose with confidence and create strong, editorial images while embracing the glamorous energy of the set. For this shoot, flashy, glamorous statement outfits were essential — sequins, satin, feathers, and couture-inspired fashion were highly encouraged, while minimal looks had no place in the brief. Couture energy, elegance, and intensity were key elements the models needed to bring in order to truly stand out in this challenge. The carousel has stopped spinning — now it’s time for the critiques. RobbieRIOT Stunning. I love the outfit, and I love the idea of replacing the traditional carousel horses with savanna animals. However, while the individual pieces are stunning on their own, together they don’t fully work for me, mainly because of the color palette. I would’ve fully committed to the concept and shifted the colors into warmer tones that reflect the animals’ natural habitat, because I think that would’ve made the photo feel much more cohesive to the theme you went for. muribolt It’s a cute shot. High fashion? Not so much. It gives me very “Marilyn goes to the carnival fair.” You need to be careful with the fine line between seductive and vulgar. The pose feels a little too much, and with a bit more softness, it wouldn’t lose so much of its elegance. But like I said, it’s still a cute shot. You delivered what was asked of you. Goomybear It feels a little bland to me. The set is excessively dark, and it doesn’t really capture the dreamy atmosphere that was asked for. It’s an original and unique take on the carousel, kudos for that, but visually, there isn’t much that really grabs my attention. I’m also not the biggest fan of the outfit, the mix of materials feels a bit messy to me. SexyTex It feels a little too commercial for me. It’s the kind of photo I could see as a pop star’s album cover, like Sabrina Carpenter, rather than a high fashion editorial. The legs look a bit too short, and the tilted neck feels stiff. The set, however, is probably one of my favorites. Sam For me, it’s a no. This doesn’t work from any angle, from the pose to the styling, nothing about it screams high fashion to me. It feels much more like you’re about to put on a mask and star in a special episode of ¡Mucha Lucha!. Easily one of the weakest shots i saw in this competition. dailyicon I like your photo, but the fact that you’re looking down instead of gazing intensely straight into the camera, or up toward the horizon like you’re about to conquer enemy territory, takes away a bit of the image’s impact for me. That’s probably the only thing I would change. The pose is great, the outfit is great, awesome job this week, congratulations. @camel22 Another case where a stronger, more impactful gaze would’ve made all the difference in the photo. You look beautiful, and the outfit is ok, but your facial expression lacks soul. The pose is also a bit basic, you definitely could’ve pushed it further and taken more risks. It’s a very safe photo. Bosslady Although you look gorgeous in the photo, from a fashion point of view, there isn’t anything particularly inspiring about it. The dress feels too simple, and you could’ve compensated that with stronger accessories. At the same time, while your body language looks very strong and confident, it also comes across a bit like one of those “Hey bestie, here, take a picture of me on this carousel” moments. But you did your job and i do see potencial in you, so congratulations. Tayvie Hmm, I’m not the biggest fan of this. The fabric looks far too satin-heavy, and the structure of the outfit seems very crafty, it gives off very cheap energy, to the point you could easily be mistaken for a pimp. The raised leg and the pose overall feel a bit too “Jester” to me. I'm sorry but nothing about this photo really reads as high fashion. Lewis Short legs and awkward posing, I just hate hate HATE the crooked legs. There’s honestly not much more for me to say about the photo, I’m sorry. But you absolutely served face. Hare Absolutely tacky. The mix of materials didn’t work at all, and those boots were the final nail in the coffin when it came to ruining the look. The pose looks like you’re trying to signal the bus driver to stop while you're doing pole dance on a street sign post. Definitely one of the bottom ones for me. torimarie The missing leg is a problem for me, it creates a strange impression considering the pose you chose. And speaking of the pose, it gives off a somewhat basic and amateur energy. The outfit is kinda cute, but it’s not one of my favorites, and I think the hairstyle is missing a bit of drama. Another safe photo in the batch. Tisha Here’s the thing with the whole skeletal vibe: it’s very limiting. The proportions look off. One arm appears excessively long, while the other looks half the size it should be. It’s distinctive and original, but will the risk actually pay off? There’s also a lack of energy in the facial expression for me, like, you LITERALLY look dead. I love the dress though. honey You had the same issue Tisha had with the arm proportions. You had EVERYTHING it took to snatch the best photo, but unfortunately, the lack of attention to the details cost you some precious points, and that could always be a problem in the competition. Other than that, I don’t really see any problems: the set is great, the gown is gorgeous, and you look absolutely stunning. I hope you pay closer attention in the next shoots. Poof Okayy love child of Aladdin and Harry Styles, werk. Impeccable styling. The pose feels a little lazy, but the face makes up for it. Definitely one of my favorite photos from this shoot. Keep up with the good work. Glitter Girl wtf. Thiii I'm sure you could’ve delivered something much more elevated than this. I can see the potential for growth, it just needs to be awakened. The dress is the main problem for me. The facial expressions and the windy hair are the strongest elements of the shot. Maybe I would’ve changed the hand on the hip and gone for something a little more original. But great job. Seong As people say, the best always comes last. If this isn’t my favorite photo, it’s definitely in my Top 2. There are definitely things that could be improved, like the camera angle to make the shot feel more editorial and high fashion, but overall, I don’t see any major flaws in this picture. Congratulations. Overall Rankings: 1. Poof 2. Seong 3. dailyicon 4. Thiii 5. RobbieRIOT 6. Bosslady 7. honey 8. muribolt 9. SexyTex 10. Goomybear 11. camell22 12. torimarie 13. Tisha 14. Lewis 15.
